We think we have Dad stabilized, and I haven't been in Colorado since early February. I also have jury duty Monday in Colorado Springs, and we are trying desperately to get my daughter's family in a house very soon. It's should be a very busy summer, and we might have some work in Corpus Christi in July. That should be insanely hot and muggy.
Take care.
Glad to hear things are on a more even keel for your dad. I hope things turn out well.

Thanks!
Ultimately Dad doesn't have a lot of time left. Our hope is that Dad will do well in rehab, and be able to spend some of his remaining time at home with a decent quality of life.
We are struggling to balance optimism and realism.

Probably until Sunday, actually. Which sucks, because our biggest event is this weekend and I was hoping to make a ton of money.I'm still back stage on Sunday, though, and kicking it with Wu Tang.
Whaaaa,...???
What stage are YOU on HD?
Because it sounds a lot more fun than mine! :)

Call me when you know when you're getting to Corpus. I have a cousin down there I haven't seen in ages, so two birds/one stone and all that.
If we weren't stuck sharing a car, I'd have just gone to CS. :(

I'm going to be in the artists/silk pajamas pass area backstage. My company is going to be back there serving the artists and VIPS.

I finished Valdis Story: Abyssal City. Great-great game. The only major weakness is that the game is much too short (for me at least). It could have more secrets, more spells, more skills, more items, more souls, more characters... But I say that after every Metroidvania game...

Speaking of work,... my wife has an interview tomorrow at an office on campus where I work.
The good news, she may soon have a 'real' job. :)
The bad news, I have not had a single % raise in 7 years, but next month they will RAISE my insurance cost by 5%. :(

Couldn't make it to the FAWTL shindig, but I did get a two-day all expenses paid trip to Brooklyn. And by that, I mean that I had to load a bunch of my buddy's furniture into my car, drive down to Pennsylvania to pick up some recording equipment, drive to Brooklyn, and then move all of those things up four flights of stairs. But my friend paid for gas and food, so it was completely worth it.

I'm sure your skills on a bike are legendary, but even I have doubts about you moving furniture on it while Dave rides on the handlebars.
...Unless your bike is actually a protoculture-powered Cyclone Veritech, in which case you better help hook a slaad up with one.

I actually thought about getting your number from Sharoth and calling you, but I ended up not having time. I'll probably be back in the neighborhood at some point, though.

hi everyone,
long day at work, tired now
waiting for wife and boy to comw home, toothe Dwarfling is teething, so the last nights where strainingespecally for Sabine because he wants to be at her side all the times
My daughter's third baby was this way with her. She would cry when ever she couldn't see Sam. I volunteered to watch the baby the first time she was away from her Mom thinking she would cry herself asleep in a half hour. I seriously underestimated my grand daughter's endurance. ;)
This too shall pass. :)

BT = when you are thinking of heading back to Colorado? It's been a very busy May for me so I haven't been able to visit you in Aggieland so far.
That is a very good question. It could be as early as tomorrow, but that seems unlikely. They are doing a ton of tests on Dad to sort out his treatment and transfer plan.
I absolutely have to be back for jury duty Monday morning.
That's the window I'm working with at this point.

AH Kansas, I get back and it is a nice rain free day. Trying to leave the Houston area and the rain was so bad that we missed the correct turn and started driving back to Houston on the highway. My worst nightmare was coming true.
Ok Not my worst, in my nightmares its my mental image of Jersey doing this to me, but still it was close.
