Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday!!!!

Very happy.
(A) It's Friday.

(C) My head wound has healed.
(D) Someone brought in donuts.

Scarab Sages

And the zombeh said "Let there be coffee".

And it was good.

The wife and I were looking at shelves on the Lowe's website. They wanted $180 for the one we wanted. So I went looking on Amazon - $127 for the same one. We should get both some time after 4 June.

Scarab Sages

I look forward to assembling them and getting them in place. I've got stuff that needs to go on them.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. Time for me to go do that voodoo that I do so well.

Yay, tomorrow I'm off to France for my first holiday abroad (Scotland probably doesn't count). Hopefully the weather will be well. But I probably won't see you guys for a week.

Our beloved Cat, Midnight passed away this morning. He was 19, he was a wonderful pet.

I too am sorry to hear that. Loosing a loved one, furry and four legged or otherwise is alway hard.

I'm sorry to hear this, Tordek. You and your family have my condolences. Our old cat, Loki, is "my boy"...He's 15, now, and has spent the last 10 years as a 3-legged cat (had to have it removed in 2004 due to a vaccine-related cancer). He's doing well, now, but he is starting to show his age. I know I'm going to really miss him when he goes.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Illness, busy work schedule, and a weird malaise have kept me off the boards. I will be putting up a new Friday monster some time today.

I also just found out that my not-quite-stepmom (I was 26 when my dad remarried, but she has been "Oma" to my kids all their lives) will be getting a hysterectomy done next Friday, since doctors found pre-cancerous cells as well as a spot of cancer. Hopefully, they caught everything in time, and the surgery will be all she needs.

Also, my wife informed me that her dad had several more blackouts this week. He's been dealing with congestive heart failure for over 10 years, so he's pretty much been at the mercy of his heart, but it seems like the lack of oxygen is becoming increasingly bad.

Thank you for the condolences today. It was a very difficult morning today. My wife and I were fortunately able to be with him at the end. We had a feeling it was coming soon.

I was never a cat fan, but he was a very special cat and I am very sad. 19 years is a very long time to have an animal as part the family.

I feel for my wife, she had to go to teach today, since it is so close to the end of the school year.

Just about. She leaves two weeks from tomorrow, and she gets in at 6AM local time. Her hosts will pick her up at the airport.

As for the World Cup, I agree. I imagine that's got to be quite the experience, and I don't think she's want to miss out. She's not a sports fan, but I think she'd have a good time.

June 14th. I might have just said June because I didn't recall the date, so I left it open for interpretation. :S

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Saturday! It was a good start to the day when both children slept in until nearly 0700!!! Not sure what the day has planned yet, but I at least know there's a trip to Walmart, the cleaners, and Lowe's/Sears.

Scarab Sages

Methinks I may be purchasing an air compressor today. Not sure. Either that, or I'm gonna look into some patio furniture.

My princess had an episode around midnight. She fussed for a good bit. We think she's teething. Poor little princess...

Watched the classic 30s Dracula last night on Bluray. The restored version is really awesome. It's part of my Universal classic monsters collection.
