I don't have to wear cloths to have nice dinner.

I'm still tired.

Liberty's Edge

The latest gem from my roommate:

Alex: "All I want for my birthday this year is a bottle of good vodka."
Me: "Dude, you still haven't touched the bottle I gave you last year."
Alex: "I'm saving it for a special occasion..."
Me: "What, like your birthday?"
Alex: "Yeah."
Me: "So you're saying that I should buy you vodka for your birthday so that you could drink it the following year on your birthday?"
Alex: "Something like that. Hey, it makes sense to me, and that's all that matters."

Ah, back after a bit of sanity time

I hope all is well with y'all this fine Friday. I have to work an extra shift tomorrow (3am-needed) but the cash will end up in my PaizoCon fund, so it is all good. Tips are starting to addup, after four months of saving I have enough to have a really fun four days in Seattle.

Well, off to patch my PbPs

Bottle of cherry vodka I got on my previous birthday lasted until the January. And my birthday is in February.

This year I got cherry vodka again and it stays until an occasion arises.

And cherry vodka is one of my favorites. I am just not much into drinking alcohol most of the time. Not to mention that I never drink alone.

Thunderous night. But no rain. At least not yet.

I'm not laid off just yet.

I'm going to have to work into early next week, but I have this weekend off if anyone wants to visit Corpus Christi this week. ;)

Take care!

Tornado hit just south of us, right by our grocery store and might have gotten my poor accountant - not sure yet.

Tornado hit on the way to my old store in St. Charles and destroyed a subdivision one block away from my old landlord.

Tornado hit a mile away from my last house, and demolished two buildings I used to drive by every day to work.

Tornado wrecked the high school in a city where former in-laws live.

It's kind of weird. I know all of these places, though they are scattered in a 2-hour drive.

I was just about to post a rant about the missing audio comentary on european blueray of The Avengers - things are set back in perspective now :-/

Meh. It's raining.

True, for us Europeans rain and the occasional earthquake is the worst we have to worry about.

Stay safe Treppa (& puffin)

And now it's wet and cold.

Huh. I suspect that's better than tornadoes.

Huzzah and good morning! I hope all my beloved FAWTLY Folk have a wonderful day. Love to stay and mini blitz, but I'm burning daylight and have miles to go before sleep.

Breakfast. IHOP. Bacon.

Nuff Said.

Have bacon this morning or for lunch, when needed or as ordered.

Tonight is the night. I'm prepping for the grand finale of our 3 year Rise of the Runelord's campaign.

Muwahahahahahah!

After this campaign, another player is taking over GM duties and we will continue with Shattered Star. And he will be incorporating some of the elements from the runelord's campaign into the new one. Cool.

Also, AZ will be joining the game! Huzzah!

*cough-cough*

Damn cold wetness. I'm not going out. Not even to get bread. I'll stay here warm - well, at least not cold - and dry. Even if this means I won't have anything to eat until dinner.

Yesterday was a long day. I specifically scheduled my client meeting in New Jersey to end early enough in the afternoon to avoid traffic, and it worked - in New Jersey. I managed to hit Brooklyn right as rush hour was getting under way and sat in stop-and-go traffic the rest of the way home. It took 4 hours.

What's more, I think that same day (Thursday) the attendants at the Manhattan parking garage where I was parked banged the undercarriage of my car somehow. My muffler is mysteriously cracked. It's only a 3 year old car and should not have that problem.

You know what I did not need to be spending money on right now? A new muffler.

On a positive note, I got a Paizo shipment!

It contained the latest AP volume and a non-mint Bestiary 3. I am a fan of non-mint offerings. I can't even figure out what was supposed to be wrong with this one. It looks fine to me.

Me too. Pathfinder Adventure #70, warm and toasty from "der brieftragger" has arrived.

today German Cup Final, the big chance for my FC Bayern München to win the Tripple (after the German Championship and the UEFA Champions League)

Book 70, deep man very deep.

Afternoon folks.

Just flipped the riding lawnmower. Was trying to ride it up the ramps back into the shed, misjudged the angle and went off one side, it rolled onto its side off to the right.

Thankfully no lasting harm beyond some bruises. Mower was dead for about a half hour but starts now.

Unfortunately the driving belt's off, parents are out of the house so Dad's not here to get it back on (I can't even find it, it seems to have completely popped off the front wheel), and I'm not strong enough to force it up the ramps back into the shed by hand. So I threw a tarp over it and strapped it down with bungees just in case rain hits before they get home and we can haul the thing in.

Headline of the year?

Also: any chance the people in the picture are relatives of Taig?

For some reason the guy in the background's face cracks me up.

Lawnmower has been returned to its rightful place.

Rain comes and goes. Gonna be humid tomorrow, which'll make it miserable if it doesn't rain more then. (Thankfully 80% rain chance tomorrow. Put the heat+humidity off til Monday at least.)

Wow Treppa, are you perchance living in Oklahoma? There were a lot of tornadoes through there in the last 2 nights as well.
My family are all safe, but I was worried for a bit. :/

Nope, we're near St. Louis, which also got hit in several spots.

Here are pictures, some of which (Caulks Hill Road) are only about two miles from us. The rest are about 15 minutes.

We kind of got lost in the Oklahoma reporting, which is understandable. Those folks have had a hellish couple of weeks.

One woman insulting another in Njal's Saga: "You have hangnails on every finger, and your husband is beardless."

hi everyone,

I hope everyone is save and sound on this sunday morning

we have sunshine, which is scarce this spring, a lot of high floods all over Germany,
Sabines hometown is at the moment mildly flooded, no houses in danger yet, in 2002 the town was hit very hard, practically cut of from all roads

Huh, I wonder what kind of people (aside from druids) would worship a Chaotic Good deity of Fertility, Magical Beasts, Primal Chaos and Seawater.

Mermaids and hermit coastal dwellers.

gambling sailors ?

the primal chaos part would be the big hindrance for wide popularity, I guess, not many people like primal chaos
