Morning, all. What did I miss?

Putting on your clothes this morning?

He's got wings, he don't need no stinking clothes! (Clean ones would be appreciated, though - that thing is distracting. No, not that thing, the belly-button.)

beryllium.
not sure why my phone substituted "beryllium" for "Okay", but there you have it.

I think that is the oddest autocorrect ever. Not the funniest or the most embarassing, but definitely the oddest.

Tried to install Ubuntu after Windows 8 say that the trial duration ended. Installer failed three times. Resigned I installed Windows 7 Home. Everything would be ok, except it does not detect any sound device preventing listening to anything. Windows 8 detected headphones allowing for listening to youtube. Strange.

Ouch!

Suboptimal!

It was due to a combination of my building a non-optimized character because I wanted to do something off-kilter and interesting, and also the simple fact that if 5 3rd-level PCs go up against a CR 6 encounter, they're gonna have a bad time. Meh. Characters die in games. I'm not that bugged.

:)

Not in my group!!!

My group is wicked optimized!

My group is a weird combination of semi-optimized (one who really is, two who are through luck, one who would be if his rolls cooperated, and one who flat out isn't), really lucky, tactically effective, and powered-up by using rolls rather than pointbuy. They've taken a few challenges well above their level.

I don't mind tooling things up to continue challenging them, even if it does speed up the leveling - we're halfway through Chapter 2 of Kingmaker and the party's level 8. (Though we started at 2nd - I hate starting games at level 1.)

Well, Scott tried the "cure or else" method for fixing his upset stomach by downing a brisket stuffed burger topped with bacon, beer-battered onion rings, and steak sauce. Meanwhile, Gary's PM to Max was inadvertently misinterpreted by an internet monitoring system, thus triggering an alert that aliens had landed Shreveport, Louisiana. And, across town, Patrick decided that he would finally try get back to his old hobby of......No, wait! That's my soap opera!

And, yes, that is what I had for lunch. Mmmmm.......

Mrgh.
University started back today.
I was not, quite, ready for the onslaught of obtuseness.

Friggin' Freshmen,...
Grumbly-muck elder doctors,...
Cruddy-@$$ weather,...

Barring the steel door to my office for the rest of the day.

cool! I had never heard them before, can you recommend and album?

Orthos wrote:

why did they do that? They were fun.

They still show up, just only on the Superstar boards or your profile.

AH, sound is back... Why automatic updating worked but it could not be done manually? :/

Alrighty folks. It's that time of year, and at last work has kicked into overdrive. No time for the distraction that is Paizo for the rest of the month, I fear, so I'll have to be closing this particular tab at least while I'm at work.

Should be able to post from home in the evenings, if more sparsely. See you guys full-time again come February.

See you soon Orthos.

That, a difficult encounter, and bad luck.

For a bunch of newbies, there's a lot of optimization going on my PF Age of Worms group. They're currently running through "The Library of Last Resort" at level 12...

ARGH. My usual brainstorming buddies are the victims... errr, players... for my mini-campaign that starts tomorrow night.

Do your worst. I made too many characters.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What do you mean by too many?

One of the things we all learned from Temple of Elemental Evil,

There is NO such thing as too many characters! :)

It's only expected to run three sessions.

We'll keep the FaWtL fires burning, Orthos. Please return safelym

So, six-pack of characters should suffice? Per player, that is...

Just dropping in for a moment to say hi. I know some of you who are on Facebook we communicate, but there's a score of you that I don't encounter much because of that.

Spring 2013 Semester starts today. I'm insane for taking yet another math course. But I'm going to dip my hand into HTML. Need to reinvent myself so that I can dominate all the Internet 34s.

It is my destiny. </cue Imperial March>

Ciao, meatbags!

I am taking 3.

Just found this. Would love to stat up the Guyver itself and a few Zoanoids for a game.

Ha ha! You fool! You fell victim to one of the classic blunders, the most famous of which is to never get involved in a land war in Asia.

Despite its classic status, it seems to be quite hard to remember...

Work makes my stomach wonky for some reason...

Sitting down for prolonged periods, might be a cause?

Anyway hope you feel better. Hope everyone feels great as the week winds down.

Morning FAWTL.

Game tonight! Crazy feyland insanity three-shot by Ebon Fyre. Getting to play a blood knight bug lady Warblade. Really should play meleers more often rather than playing casters all the time >_>

Gotta get through work first though. See ya all later tonight.

I didn't have this problem last month nor the one before.

And I'll be fine, I get off early today and tomorrow anyway!

Scarab Sages

Good morning to all my FAWTLY Brethren. I hope you have a great day.

Scarab Sages

My poor wifey stayed home sick today. We actually left work a bit early yesterday because she was feeling bad. So I took care of the boy while she rested.

Scarab Sages

Speaking of the boy, he still isn't completely comfortable with daycare yet. Throws a fit when we drop him off. Recovers quickly enough, but it's tough.

During the day they say he's been getting better and calling for us less and less. I'll take that progress.

Scarab Sages

I had been flipping through channels Tuesday night and caught The Faculty on. Weird movie - crappy, but I've always thought of it as kinda Lovecraftian.

I DVR'd it and watched it last night. Like I said, kind of cheesy, but entertaining - especially at the end when the queen alien/hot blond chick walks around nekkid.

Mmmmm....hot blond alien.

Scarab Sages

Also, where's the justice in the world when that little tool Elijah Wood gets to suck face with hottie Jordana Brewster. I ask you - WHERE IS THE JUSTICE???
