Things are going somewhat ok here. The dude who's been a douche continues to be one. I swear he's like a damn 5 year old - it's all about him getting his f%!$ing way.
Sad thing is, he's really not in charge of the inspection. The guy who is in charge is happy with our work, but too damn spineless to tell this douchey little weaselprick to STFU.

Also, got sick leave due to the flu.
Glad that situation was somewhat resolved.
Anyone have "fun" party plans for the holidays coming up?
That could be interesting.

It's a pity you can't just loan him some testicular fortitude.
Wait your a zombie maybe you can. *shudders*

Catching up on the thread.
In answer to the gaming question earlier,
I am currently GMing Rise of the Runelords (Pathfinder rules) for a group which includes Wolfthulhu and AZ's brother.
I'm playing in CH's supercool Ravenloft PBP, and GMing one of my own with several FaWtl members.
And several Pathfinder campaigns with various combinations of two of my sons and my wife, depending on who is around when the mood strikes us to game (which fortunately, is quite often.)

Speaking of Rise of the Runelords - I'm currently prepping for tonight's game. (We play about once per month). Currently we are playing book 6. We have already begun plans to play Shattered Star next. One of my players will be taking the GM reins in that campaign.

I believe the correct response is "You don't vote for kings." and eventually we get to strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government...

Me: Hmm... is the apartment a bit chillier than normal. *shrugs* Guess it's just the weather.
A week later there's a note in my mailbox that the landlord needs access to all the flats in order to fix a heating-malfunction.
Me: So... maybe I wasn't imagining it. *puts thermometer into the bathroom*

Maybe Americans don't. We did vote for kings..

Yep. The Scandinavian kingdoms were elective up until the 1500s, as well. Although, at least in Sweden, most of the time the election came down to everybody figuring out who had the most soldiers on his side and picking that guy. (And then, after a while, someone would rebel, chop the current king's head off, and be elected king until the previous guy's son showed up to repeat the whole affair. Except sometimes the person rebelling would be the king's brother instead - gotta have some variety.)

Gas installation won't be repaired until Monday. Gah. I am stuck with three apples and tea and I will have limited ability to wash myself before the Sunday session. At least, after learning that servicemen won't appear today I went to friends, was feed some noodles with pesto and played Game Of Thrones but it went quite hardly. Maybe we shouldn't drink cherry vodka while playing the game.

My favourite Swedish King is still Charles XIV. A Napoleonic (1) General who was elected King because he was kind to Swedish soldiers after he beat them.

I have been enjoying...a car accident.
Look, when I said I wanted a new car end of the year, I didn't mean I wanted the old one destroyed!
*sigh*
I am fine, just a bit sore. I figure anytime you can walk away from a three car wreck "a bit sore" is pretty good, all things considered. Nobody needed transport to the hospital. Now I wait to find out what the judgement is on the car.
*double sigh*
Damn. So I haven't been here for awhile and this is the second 'new' post I see. Sorry about the car, Jess. Glad you weren't hurt.

Houston Chamber of Gamers wrote:Are you sure you don't want to move to Houston? If I could do so without losing my job and its benefits I probably would =P
Well, not to Houston proper, probably to an outlying suburb. I learned from living in Phoenix I'm not big on big cities. Chattanooga would be pushing it for me, but I thankfully don't live in Chatt proper, but rather in one of the outlying suburbs, which is much more rural and to my liking.
If you do, try to find work near where you live. If you have to drive into Houston from the exurbs (or even Katy/Sugarland/Woodlands/Pearland/etc), you're in for some wonderfully frustrating commutes.
Seriously, Houston is about inside the Loop. Everything else is uncivilized.
