Would Paizo ever make a "other Player races book"?

Not sure exactly what the issue is. There are a decent numbe of "other" races described and given players stats in the Beastiary books. Adding all sorts of races and upping the power curve is part of why the old 3.5 went to hell.

I like these kinds of products, and I hope paizo continues to do them. As for my vote on what to see...PLEASE make a Pathfinder version of warforged!!!!!

Definitely!

Our interpretation of goblins has been one of Paizo's greatest successes; they're VERY popular, and one of the things that a lot of folks identify with. Whether or not a goblin is precisely balanced with the other core races, I predict this book will sell VERY well because the goblins have a lot of fans out there.

Goblins are probably my favorite race in the game. They can be a lot of fun as PCs, villains, or NPCs.

Goblins of Golarion, I'd pre-order that today!

I would love a book expanding on Aasimars and Tieflings, as they are my favorite player races, it would be neat to see more planetouched races as well. I would add that the Genesais would be nice although I see the Bestiary II's new races filling that niche to some degree; ifrit, oread, etc.

I'd like to have a book for the planetouched races, if only so that I don't have to crack open my beastiary for said knowledge.

or an "Oddities of Golarion" Book covering the following:
Assimar
Tiefling
Tengu
Half-Janni
Janni
possible half-elemental

nothing else.

If something like that were to come along, I'd love to see alternate options put forward to change their creature types to some flavor of Humanoid rather than Outsider, just to help bring them in line with the rest. (has never really been a fan of tiefs and aasimar being labelled as outsiders in 3.x)

Or at least something that players can take to circumvent some of the nastier vulnerabilities tied into their planar nature, some of which can take them out of the game permanently at low levels, even if it means giving up racial perks.

3.x had them as Native Outsiders.... well if they were concieved on the Prime

I don't remember what books specifically it's in but there are some nice Tiefling heritage options, that allow to substitute racial abilities, like in the APG as well as define your infernal/abyssal heritage which changes your +2 ability scores around.

Yeah, the tiefling article in PF#25. Offered 10 total bloodlines to choose from, along with a huge chart of alternate special abilities and another chart for random physical traits.

I really hope aasimars get the same treatment some day, and that they're allowed to be as weird as the tieflings. Aasimar get such a bad rap for being bland and boring because that's what 3.x typically portayed them as. Really hope they get their Planescape weirdness back, where they actually show traits of their stranger celestial ancestors. (really hope the developers check out the 1000 aasimar traits thread from time to time ;) )

The funny thing about the tiefling bloodlines: Demon bloodline is one of the best for paladins. I'm playing one now. :D

Yea i noticed that the CE outsider heritage makes the pest pally. You might think they'd have the foresight to avoid things like that.

Aasimars are totally awesome, and definitely just as varied as Tieflings, I think that part of the problem is that different types of evil tend to be explored more than types of good.

I'm sure that the good people of the boards can come up with some good alt-aasimars

Silver Crusade

I rather like the demon bloodline being the best fit, just for sheer irony. :)

I love to think of some higher up in Heaven getting an epic trollface every time a demon-blooded tiefling answers the call to paladinhood.

Check 'em out! :D

We have a number of 100/1000 _______ threads floating around down that way.

I forgot I'd also like to see a book called
DArklanders of Golarion
containing:
Drow
various other darkland races fit for use as a playre character.

yeah I don't want to go by that AP series just for more info on the drow.....

hehehe

and don't mention the Into the Darklands. I have that one already.

Ok, O.P. here and I have had some Ideas I would like to share. Ok I said In one of my earlier posts that "Maybe this would give a chance for Paizo to make the kobold and goblin a little more pc friendly." I take that back as because some races should are stronger or weaker then humans. Making them all the same would be boring.
Any way The main reason I am posting is I have a friend of mine who wanted to create a new character and he wanted a different race. A "unusual" race at first level. He looked over both bestiary and didn't find anything. (he was kinda picky) So As in the first post I suggested that Paizo come up with a Pathfinder Campaign Setting or the Pathfinder Player Companion player races book. I am not talking about having a Minotaur or a Tarrasque *snicker* as a player race, (though it would be fun to play as a Tarrasque at first level) I am talking about having a book full of the playable zero hit die races, which I explained before. I believe some have brought up that the Pathfinder Campaign Setting or the Pathfinder Player Companion are Golarion specific. So if I understand this correctly we have the Campagian setting that details the world of Golarion, the player Companion that gives players the "edge" in Golarion, the Adventure paths and modules are adventures or one shots through the world of Golarion. Then you have the Pathfinder Role Playing Game, which isint Golarion specific per say, but It can be used with any world or campaign setting. It has been said before by various Paizo staffers that they will only be able come out with 2-3 RPG books a year. So what am I getting to? Well, what if Paizo came out with a NEW line lets call it "Pathfinder RPG Companion". What this would be is a 90 or so soft cover page line of books dedicated to the Role playing game. It could have some classes or alternate classes or archetypes but its main focus would be smaller things such as feats, spells, magic items, gear and so on tied to a theme (arcane, divine whatever have you). So the point I am getting to Is that you could use this new line to put out a book full of player races and so on with out affecting Golarion.

+1 for Tengu ;)

If things work out as they are supposed to, A Tengu race book with a Japanese flavor will be released by Rite Publishing sometime this year as the third in a series of oriental monster/pc races.

Sorry new guy question, but PF#25 translates to what in Newbish?

Thank you, played RPG's for years, Pathfinder for about a month now. Coming into a new one late is always a pain, thanks much for the assist.

I prefer keeping humanoids playable. I've always found it curious that people are so opposed to playing Orcs and Goblins when Drow are usually considered fair game.

And are Goblins really that much more Evil than Chelaxians?
