After the cleric turned/dispelled the 3rd or 4th room, our rogue comes back and reports yet another room.
Cleric: Great, I'm starting to run low on Turns.
Me: We'll handle it. How big is the room?
DM: Well it's about 40' square.
Me: I got this. *Warmage walks to get line of sight.* Sudden widened, sudden empowered, sudden maximised transdimensional fireball! *clatter of empowered dice, followed by some obscene amount of damage*
DM: *sad face* Well that's another room clean.
Me: Turn undead. Warmage style.

It's fairly obvious that Thog is the Hulk, and you don't beat the Hulk in an arm-wrestling match. Outwitting him? That's the trick, and that's why Roy is party leader.

On a second read I think Roy just also was hanging on until Thog ran out of rage rounds.
Roy was also purposely provoking Thog to bash him into the pillars behind him, so they would crack.

More Tarquin's magnificience. I am wondering how would Elan grow if he was taken by Tarquin instead of Nale (not another Nale obviously, as his Int score was lowered by Nale bonking him on the head prior to divorce).
