The rules already state (under full-round actions) that you can take a 5-foot step before, after, or in between attacks during a full-round attack.
Under swift actions, they state that swift actions can be taken whenever you could take a free action.
Because a 5-foot step is a free action, and it can be taken during a full-round attack, I would cautiously extend that to all free and swift actions.
So, yes. Looks like you can.

It sounds like an okay move, but quite frankly, I can think of better uses for a 5th level spell slot.
I don't know; doesn't true strike ignore cover/concealment? That's pretty solid for making sure a crucial ray (enervate) or touch lands on an enemy caster who utilizes percentile miss chance (blur, ect) or cover spells (bigsby's giant hands of block my shot *glares angrily*) as well as hitting the high touch AC nusience (rogue or troublesome monk). It is one of the few spells I think really warrents Quickening, especially as a martial/caster mix. Other favorties to quicken include grease, enlarge, expeditious retreat.

Yeah, truestrike is great for fighter magic user types. I'm playing a 13th level vanguard in our Council of Thieves game and truestrike the spell I almost always use for my Swift Spell ability. Truestrike as a swift action and then attack at +20 in the same round - great for that battle that you have to win!

Re: True Strike
Personally, I've found TS to be most effective with combat maneuvers, esp. Disarm. A F/MU with ImpDisarm (or attacking from invisibility) means there is nothing your opponent can wield that you cannot take from him/her/it. A great debuff against THW fighters, clerical holy symbols, or item bonded wizards.

Yes but what the OP wants to use it for is far less useful than any of these scenarios.. he just wants to use it to buff up an iterative attack. If he's looking to do is damage, I'd rather just use a spell.
Speaking of spells, among other uses for that 5th level slot would be one of my favorites, the old classic Wall of Force.

All I read was that he wanted the second attack to gain the benefit of the spell instead of the first, which would include both a bonus to hit and the secondary effects of the spell. But you are right, other spells in a fifth level slot would be better for damage: Maximized Scorching Ray, Empowered Fireball (better than Cone of Cold from levels 11 through 15), and so on. However It looks like the intent is to get immediate focused damage in with an attack to a single target, otherwise he would spend his round doing a solid AoE strike. True Strike all but guarentees that in most circumstances, though if I were aiming to make sure I get the most damage to a single target in a turn, in addition to the full attack of two strikes I'd rather cast a Quickened Shocking Grasp, Quickened Magic Missile, or Quickened Enlarge Person over Quickened True Strike, unless of course my weapon damage is going to be far superior.
