Wouldn't it be kind of stupid if my farmer turned adventurer never knew that those things on his pasture was actually cows? What if he rolled a natural 1 on his Knowledge (farm animals) check, would he then think they were paladins or dinosaurs?
Yes, he would not know what they were and would spend copious amounts of time scratching himself.

Would a bypasser who came along and failed her Knowledge (humanoids) check think he was an orc?

Knowledge (geography) 1d20-3
I'm assuming poorly due to all of your questions about knowledge checks. I recommend picking up a level in bard.

Does Golarion have a Digital Plane or where does the digimon come from?
What about the pokémon? Who is the demon lord of pokémon?
Do you prefer PCs that look like 2d children with weird hair color and big heads and eyes?
What is Cheliax' relation to pokémon?
Does dire seagulls exist?
Who was the male parent of the half-troll/half-wyvern?

No.
Yes, they are called Eidolons. Pokemon...I mean Eidolons worship their owners.
No.
They use them as slave labor.
As soon as we come out with a Dire template and seagulls in the beastiary.
The Wyvern. Use your imagination for the rest of that unholy union.
