Pathfinder Adventure Path General Discussion

Just picked up Gods and Magic the other day, and got a ton of ideas after looking at some of the Golarian religions I hadn't known about before. Got me thinking, I remember an article on Desna in the Rise of the Runlord AP, and thought there was one on Lamashtu also in there. What other gods were discussed in the various APs? I have all of RotR, all but the last issue of Crimson throne, and one issue of Second Darkness and one of Legacy of Fire.

Is there anywhere out there that lists what gods were discussed in what issues?

Grand Lodge

One of the Second Darkness books had Cayden Cailean. It's the only one I bought, specifically for that article, so forgive me if I can't remember the name. ^_^

They are always in issues 2 and 5 of any AP.

Desna, Lamashtu, Calistra, Cayden Cailean, Abadar, Zon-Kuthon, Sarenrae, Rovagug, Iomedae, Asmodeus, Erastil, Gorum are all done.

We do two deities per AP, or four per year. One always appears in the AP's second installment, and the other always appears in the penultimate installment. So far, in order, we've done:

2: Desna
5: Lamashtu
8: Abadar
11: Zon-Kuthon
14: Cayden Cailean
17: Calistria
20: Sarenrae
23: Rovagug
26: Iomedae
29: Asmodeus
32: Erastil
35: Gorum

And going forward, we've announced:

38: Gozreh
41: Nethys
44: Pharasma
47: Urgathoa
50: Shelyn
53: Irori

Which means that for the AP after Jade Regent, we'll be doing:

56 and 59: Norgorber and Torag

Which will mark the end of the 20 core deities.. What will you be doing for #62 and onwards?

My best guess: moving on to the other 40+ deities we've introduced over the years. Deities like Droskar or Besmara or Achaekek or Groetus, or even on to some of the demigods like Cyth-V'sug or Ymiri or Geryon.

Liberty's Edge

Any chance of one about Aroden?

Woo-hoo, Shelyn! I mean, I only have to wait another year. ^_^;

Looking forward to it, nonetheless.

After we cover all of the core 20 deities, perhaps. If only so we can put in big 48 point font at the start of Aroden's entry: "CLERICS OF ARODEN CAN'T CAST SPELLS." :P

Nice. It would be neat to see more about Groetus :)

It will be called "War of the Flumph Lords" and will be about the ongoing blood feud between the Flumphs and their sworn enemy the Smurphs.

The final book will end with a confrontation between the players and the evil Papa Smurph at the top of the Tower of Smurph Domination, an artifact powered by the souls of captured Flumphs which will colour everbody blue and force everybody to wear little white hats.

You heard it here first folks.

I believe someone did his best to flesh out Milani a bit in Wayfinder #3, and while not exactly up to Sean K Reynolds quality, he still thinks there are some nifty ideas in there (and some what-was-I-thinking! ones).

Absolutely beautiful. Looks like I should already own the one I was most interested in (Zon Kuthon), just need to dig through my shelves. Absolutely cant wait for #47. Will also be getting my grubby little claws on Wayfinder 3 now too...

The main reason I'm looking through all the religion stuff, is I'm going to be converting over Age of Worms and Night of Dissolution (Ptolus) to Pathfinder, into a melting pot adventure path. Diamond Lake will equal Falcon's Hollow, and I want to play up all the wierd little cults and sects mentioned in both storylines. (consider this your spoiler warning for any of the above mentioned adventures)

Right now, what I have is...
Ebon Triad is attempting to mix Rovagug, Norgorberr, and Zon Kuthon.
The graveyard of Falcon's Hollow is protected by an all female cult of Pharsma.
There is a very extremest sect of Milani who practice self mutilation trying to build it's flock from the poorest of the poor (though there is a huge twist here).
Iomedae is the patron diety of the near by garrisson.
There is a near by monestary of Irori.

Obviously Droskar has his place in there...and then I know I want to shoe horn Urgathoa in there somewhere as well.

Well Papa Smurf does dip his cap in the blood of his enemies...

Since that's the classic tropes AP time slot, I predict something like bearing a McGuffin back to where it was forged in order to unmake it. (Jewelry? Perhaps a beard clip or something else appropriate for the dwarf-lords in their halls of stone?) While chased by cloaked riders and being slowly corrupted by its shadowy powers. Although the outlook is hazy, a corrupted halfling may be somehow involved.
