I'm working on a new race to use in kingmaker. a tribe of Kobolds "substituting the sootscales in KM" who in there past rescued the child of a silver dragon while it's mother was being killed. The kobolds raised/worshiped it for a short time. this act wasn't completely selfless ofc. the good dragon god,can someone please tell me any dragon gods in pathfinder and there role?,sent a follower to rescue the baby silver dragon. This Silver dragon follower of "good dragon god" took pity on the kobolds and felt obligated to repay the dept. In short the silver enlightened the kobolds and showed them the error of there ways and taught them a new religion and good moral code. Over the generations these kobolds became LN and there appearance changed to lustrous grey scales instead of chromatic colors. The purest of this tribe are clerics of there brought on dragon religion and are LG or NG and have silver scales and other silver dragon qualities (horns, wings, etc). This is now a new race.
i have some ideas in mind but want to see what other people come up with so here is a list of some things i would like some view points on.
1)the general race is still Humanoid reptilian LN(grey scaled)and the goal is 1CR with racial HD. the only 2 things i know for sure i want to give the race is size medium and lose the light sensitivity. everything else is in the air, stats, skills, special features, etc.
2)i could use some name suggestions other than mashed combination's such as Drabolds, kogans, etc. i'm leaning towards drakken or Dragonfolk.
The priests i have figured out, they will simply be enlightened versions of this new race with the half-dragon template. which will meet the 3CR minimum and since they have racial HD will have a breath weapon. i'm thinking of giving them a racial ability to advance there breath weapon dependent on character levels so i can advance them more later to keep them in an ongoing story. Since they can't take dragon disciple class levels this seemed the right thing to do, do you feel it's over powered?

The race you're looking for already exists. it's' called Lizardmen. If you don't like them as they are take the stats and do some cosmetic changes.

Apsu is the good dragon god, being a creator and lawful-good-ish, and is the god most chromatic dragons revere. Tiamat was the other creator, and is inactive enough that she might not even have clerics. Dahak is the mad destructive evil dragon-god, but is as much despised by chromatics as he is likely to be worshipped by them, as he's responsible for their fall from grace in the old days.

Dragon-races are tricky because dragons are generally better at *everything.* A bonus to strength is pretty much a must-have, and bonuses to Con, Int, Wis and Cha are all logical choices. A penalty to Dex is pretty much the only one that fits well. I'd go with +2 Str, +2 Cha, -2 Dex for a generic medium-sized dragon-man, but that seems like a pretty radical departure from their kobold beginnings.
In any event, I'd be leery of giving them a natural armor bonus higher than +2, or even leaving it at +1, as that's the biggest power-inflating issue that tends to come up with reptilian creatures, 3.0 having arbitarily assigned Lizardfolk, Sahuagin and Troglodytes with scales as strong as or stronger than a steel breastplate (making encounters with those races actually wearing armor unjustifiably difficult for their low CR).

Wyrmkin, Scalykind, Scalefolk, Hodekin, etc. You could google/wiki Kobold and look around for variations, or even play around with different metals or terms for metals that are more silvery and less 'cobalt' in color, like Argenti, or Argead.
I was just playing around with permuations of that while designing an NPC with a silver heart, checking other languages like Italian (Cuour Argente) or Gaelic (Argead'Croi). If the former kobolds have a legend that the first tutor 'untarnished' their scales and 'put silver in their hearts,' they could even call themselves by some term like 'silverheart' or 'silverblood' (not a literal thing, they'd still bleed the normal color), and then you can hit up some foreign language translation sites to find a term for 'silver blood' that doesn't sound awkward to an English speaker.

You could easily come up with a specific exception as to why this race can become Dragon Disciples, and interactions between any racial abilities and those of that PrC.

So here's what we are working with:
The normal kobold has the following factors:
-4 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Con
Small, but normal speed
Darkvision, but light sensitivity
+1 nat armor
+2 perception, and stealth as a class skill
(the craft and profession skill bonuses are hardly game influencing)
Here's what I did with my "advanced kobolds" race I used for a recent NPC encounter (it's intended to be tougher, closer to PC races).
________________________
Ability Scores -4 Str, +2 Dex, -2 Wis, +2 Int, +2 Cha
The Str penalty is important to reinforce their "weak" nature. I removed the Con penalty (it was too much, and I've always felt reptilians are somewhat resilient), and gave mental stats that I felt were appropriate (cunning and self assured of their "draconic" superiority, but kinda of scatter brained).
Small sized
Speed 30'
Darkvision
Light Sensitivity
+1 Natural armor
Stealth is always a class skill
Craft and Profession bonuses can stay as desired (my kobolds weren't miners though).
Mostly unchanged stuff. I removed the perception bonus to match the slight scatter-brained effect they have. I'm debating removing the +1 nat armor in lieu of something different, although, once again, reptilian nature seems to fit. Plus, a combat bonus makes it so it's not too focused on one aspect.
Spindly Form They gain a +2 bonus to Escape Artist checks, and are treated as one size smaller for purposes of moving through tight spaces and squeezing into spaces (fits without issues in a tiny sized hallway, can squeeze into a diminutive opening, etc).
However, they have a -2 penalty to resisting Bull Rush and Overrun combat maneuvers. This is in addition to any size modifiers.
They get knocked around worse, but can potentially escape better. Kobold warrens would be hard for others to invade, etc.

Basically, they are cunning and try to maintain an air of superiority despite most everything they encounter will be "bigger" than them (even small sized creatures have an advantage over them).
And if anything, they are even more of a "pushover" when it comes to knocking them around, but they make up for it by taking advantage of their skinny form, cunning, and stealth.
Hmm.. maybe the "nerds" of the monster kingdom?
Now I'm picturing my Alchemist Kobold as a bespectacled know-it-all... heh.
