You know, I really like Spelljammer. At the same time, I cannot imagine using it in my own campaigns. At least not as written. I am not sure where the disconnect is for me, but I just can't bring myself to do it.I can't stand the space boats, but crystal spheres seem pretty neat to me.

Just asked Owen a moment ago. A lot of the layout has already been done in advance. The intern they have their sights on has layout skills. Owen's wife has a degree in graphic design. It's a total game changer, to say the least.
Honestly, I'm happy for him. I really am! But, like you, I really do like their products. My emotions are mixed over this and that's a rare thing in my psyche.
