Oooohhh....Jury Duty Virgin!

Seriously though, I've never found it to be a big deal. However, if it's anything like here in Philly, bring something to read. Maybe a little paperback.

Hey I liked the outcome of that Miami game.

I figured a couple people around here would. :)

By the way, looks like my groups second podcast is up.

Here's the thread from the Gamer Talk Section.

No problem. And remember, if they ask you whether you have any problems serving on a jury, just jump up and yell "GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!". They love that.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawlty House!

Tons of paperwork waiting for me today, so just a good morning for now. Ptolus was fun, as was helping my friend clean out her place.

Oh yeah, Happy Monday and all that. *grumble*

Good Morning, the block party was a blast and now it is back to work and time to continue prep for Kingmaker #3 for Tuesday night.

So, in two days, the boss begins her 2.5 week vacation in Europe. I'm the dufus they're leaving in charge. On call 7/24, dealing with the execs, etc. A few employees are already planning their craziness; long group lunches, etc. Not much point in trying to crack down on them. I wish I could go with them. Maybe they'll bring me leftovers.

Institute martial law!! All employee misconduct will be punished via firing squad. That way when she returns she will see what an effective leader you can be, an irreplaceable asset to the company even.... either that or she'll come back to a violent coup and a war zone where the office used to be.

Hee hee. I was thinking that was an interesting choice of words.

So, the new Guatemalan coffee (curse you, Costco! Where's my Rwandan?) makes the Bunn overflow when it is ground fine. S.O.A.B.

Moorluck: Glad you did it. I plan to comment more.

Emperor7: I hope you find ways to make the best of it.

Justin: Sounds awesome.

Everyone: In my absence, always follow AZ's advice, unless it anywhere contradicts anything I have or will ever say. Hope you're all having a great morning!

Isn't it interesting when there is a thread you were wanting to keep up with, and then a few folks can't stop themselves from making religiously insulting posts in it, and it's just not worth it anymore.

And I think you all knew what I meant by "interesting" without quotes, italics, etc.

And it was a propane tank .;)

Are there any people here that live in or near western New York State?

I'm in Rochester. I know of at least 4 game stores here, so I'm surprised that there would only be 1 in Syracuse.

Repeat after me:

Coarse for percolators, medium for filters, fine for espresso.

Failure to obey results in broken coffee makers, or at the very least bad coffee.

Nothing to add to finding game stores in that area, but my Dad's family is from Norwich so I find this discussion interesting

I generally have good luck grinding fine for filters.

Percolators are right out.

Is anybody else confused by where Shiny is? Did he transfer schools again and I missed it? Or are my mental lines fouled again?

He just transferred schools the one time. He left Savannah, was home for a while, and then went to Syracuse.

PAY ATTENTION!

Actually, I'm just as confused by where Taig is at this point.

Shiny's at a new school! Huzzah!

And good morning, everyone. Lovely day here. Hope it's the same for all of you!

Good morning everyone! The sounds of construction awoke me this morning as the city contractors were FINALLY getting around to replacing the slab at the end of our driveway that they tore up and parked a steamroller on, thus preventing us from parking in our driveway. I hope they finish soon and we don't have to park under that ash tree anymore. It makes me paranoid that branches are gonna hit the car.

I hope the "repairs" I did on the steamroller during its five-day sojourn at the end of our driveway don't cause them any problems. ;-)

w00ty-w00t! Veddy, veddy nice. I'm really excited to see Mr. Shiny's inks and colors over them too.

Ah, I missed that somehow before. Hope things are well, Woody, but I sure do understand the RL thing. We'll miss you if necessary, just don't disappear on us! The idea of Solnes making a Maulfeuer Brandstifter II clone and playing him until you can come back is a pretty cool idea, IMO.

So where's that PhDiddy GM'ed PbP starting up that I'm hearing rumors about?

I just responded to that right before my last post so you didn't miss anything

Eek!

My schedule is too erratic right now to reliably take on anything else. Maybe next semester?

Had a pretty good weekend. Got to game for the second time. It really is nice to game after not having it for around 2 years.

And with that ... back to work...

I'd be tempted to run my Moldvaian World of Law vs Chaos vs the Great Balance, if I thought folks would be okay with the old basic/expert rules.

Well, George and Jenny decided to fulfill their long-standing dream of becoming small business owners by opening their own grooming service for penguins. Meanwhile, Adrian was puzzled by Kirsten's behavior at the company picnic. And, across town, Brian and Tom were flabbergasted by Paul's reluctance to.....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

I hadn't drawn in about 2 years, I think it had alot to do with me being pissed off all the time. Now that even though we're broke as a joke I'm a lot happier I decided that maybe if I shared my work with other people I'd get the bug again. now to retrain myself. :P

Or just answer questions that are asked of others and how you really want to do this and cane stay up all hours of the night waiting for serving, cause it is your civic duty. You will either be put in charge or more likely then not sent home in the first cuts.

I've had jury duty twice, and enjoyed it both times.

The first time I actually got selected for a jury. We heard a prostitution case. It was actually quite interesting to see the process in action.

The second time, just a few weeks ago, we got to the courtroom and none of the defendants wanted to play. They all made deals or postponed for some reason or other. So, the judge talked to us about the way things work on his side of everything. He did that for 30-40 minutes and sent us on our way.

Very educational experiences both times. I can't say I look forward to my next time to go, but I don't dread it like some people seem to.
