Hi, All! Just sipping coffee and starting another Saturday workday. Only 4 more working Saturdays before our major inspection! Not much time to get things done...but not much longer to suffer the stress, either.
I hope all are well. I haven't had time to keep up with the thread, unfortunately.

Hey everybody! Finally getting around to greetings this morning. The humidity is up and the temperature is beginning to increase. Good thing we've got the refreshing taste of an ice cold Coca-Cola </shameless plug>.
Seriously though, we're doing really well so far. Last night the festival was rained out about an hour early and it's been raining off-and-on ever since. We hit a clear patch today and the sun is out, turning the puddles into sources of super-humidity. It is absolutely swimming outside and not so great even with the AC running at full blast.
It looks like a lot of people are trying to come indoors to find some relief, I just hope they find something they want to buy. It looks like a lot of gawkers, but I don't see many at the check out. Hope we're doing alright, I'm busy guarding the office while everyone is up and about. Too many people around, too many valuables.
Festivities won't end until much later tonight. We've been here since 8 AM, we should be here past 10 PM with a pretty steady supply of MILFs... I mean customers.
Sigh, Treppa is gonna kill me.

Watching Chasing Mummies and I will now have to make Aurochs mummies and minotaur mummies in a game.Somehow, the Terror Birds got me onto Aurochs today. Megafauna that existed until as recently as 1647, it's legacy only exists today in cattle. Heck's Cattle are pretty close though.
I knew about the Horses but not about the Cattle.

That's because I bought out all the stock, filled a swimming pool with them, and am currently swimming naked through them. So sorry.Sadly, I have no pie. But, I've got pretzels, and sprite. King seems to get a pass from editing. Unfortunately, that means a lot of his flaws show up in his more recent books. He can't end a story at all (I'm looking at you, Dark Tower series!)King is like flipping a coin. Some of his stuff is awe inspiring. Other is thoughtless hack writing that I wonder if I practiced more if I could not but do better.
I feel much the same about Mellencamp save that I couldn't sing my way out of a wet paper bag.
I still think Misery is absolutely brilliant.

Of course, when she dumped me for another guy she'd been cheating with a few weeks later, she made sure to bring that up that I put her oldest son "in danger" and that was one of the reasons that she was dumping me.

I'm sure I was just as bad as any of us were, but I respected a girl's boundaries, especially if her father/family was in the vicinity. A stolen kiss or two, mayhaps a long one, but little else. Then again, that may just be me, and I was never in that situation...*sigh* High school was difficult.
So, looks like I'll be able to keep my Paizo subscriptions and my wife. Good thing, too, for the s@%~ would have really hit the fan when the Ravenloft box showed up next month.

I was at work and got stung by a bee. The one guy in the building who shouldn't get stung, got stung.
I took my epi pen for I was having trouble breathing, paramedics showed up and I woke up in the ER. I was having a seizure for about 30 minutes.
The GM of the place knew about the beehive for 3 WEEKS. He didn't want to do anything about it except tell me to "stay away from that part of the building". Then they spread into our dry storage. And thats where I got stung.
According to the doctor, I very nearly stopped breathing.
I hate bees, and my GM got a mouthful too. He is VERY lucky Jenny didn't go there, she was (is?) probably going to kick his buttocks.
Workers Comp had better be covering you. They give you one jerk reaction and I'd call the board of health to descend on that restaurant to inspect for violations. They won't know what hit them.

I must be the only one who loved the Dark Tower series, he he...yes even the ending...it fit the theme perfectly. then I stopped reading him...well except for the one book Lisey's Story, which I enjoyed.

My husband and I are moving to Glasgow Scotland next year, we were both looking forward to the big move, the exciting new travel plans and all. However his sister, is now too a point were she can no longer support herself and her 1 year old daughter. We already send quite a bit of money her way, but it now looks she is going to move with us, mainly because we will be both making very good wages and career options. So now we are both to be working toward very good careers with a little girl in the house and his sister Kate. I had to put my foot down and make it conditional, I said that I have no problem helping to raise the child nor helping his sister, but if she is going to be totally financially dependent on us she has to go to school and get training in something to get her a job. I made it very apparent that she is to get into a school program by the end of our first school semester period there, and once she is working she is to find her own place. Even after that point both my husband and I have no problem supplementing her income to make sure everything will be fine, even babysitting when needed. But this this is also our time in our life where we want to have fun and relax, and we shouldn't have to sacrifice all of it.
