I use TTOPRPG which was made to be an online tabletop. I however use it as a mapper, you can load any pic as a map, and icons for the pc's even uses those from there profile.
It allows me to also keep track of damage they have taken and so forth. Really not what the program is meant to do but it works damned well at it. It also allows lighting and shading out area's
Here are some maps I have used in recent games
Lof temple of Nethys
Savage tide
STAP vanderborn manor fight
Stap
Stap floating ooze fight
stap, cove with lighting and shadows
Anyhow hope that helps some.

Simple one, I hope. What mapping programs or system do you use and why? I'm thinking about running one myself and the maps are the only thing holding me back, so I thought I'd ask the GMs out there for advice. Thanks for any answers,
Amy.
Personally I just use Google Docs for any maps I have to make. Yeah, it's just a spreadsheet, but it's good enough for any battle maps I have to make. (Pain trying to make a circle, though.)
