Adding on to the Timeline, here's what I've come up with for the events leading up to and surrounding the first few books. With my group, I want to add a little time pressure so everything in the first two books happens on a schedule. I might stretch this out to books three and four eventually. Doesn't the campaign start on 9/23? From the campaign: "The Swallowtail Festival itself is held on the Autumnal Equinox—generally on the 22nd or 23rd of the month of Rova." Also, the Autumnal Equinox in the real world in 2007 was on the 23rd, and the timelines are supposed to sync iirc.

Asmo- I see 5 years as a perfectly reasonable timeline for building a cathedral. I don't see the sandpoint cathedral as a Gothic architectural feat like Notre Dame, but more of a solidly constructed stone building with some architectural flourishes.
I'll work on updating the timeline with the founding of sandpoint.
Derek- You are correct, I didn't check into it exactly but went with the assumption that the equinox was on the 21st. Everything in the timeline moves forward two days.
I appreciate it as well. I did not realize that it was autumn in the game. Which is funny because we have cornfield mazes for the farm encounter. ;) The use of weather in the game is a nice way of adding to atmosphere and mood - a cold autumn rain (which intensifies into a thunderstorm) during their investigation of the Manor would make things even spookier.

No, it states that she was about 15 or so when she left adventuring, and she did so for 2 or 3 years. She ran away to Magnimar around age 12 or 13, returning for her mother's funeral, if I am remembering correctly. It is detailed in the Burnt Offerings chapter, which I do not have in front of me at the moment... I will check later when I have access.
EDIT: Okay, so it turns out that I had the pdf handy. On page 27 of the Anniversary Ed, it states that 4705 (16 yrs old) was the incident that sent Ameiko to be an adventurer and her mother's funeral was 4706 (17 yrs old) when she returned to Sandpoint.
However, in the Jade Regent Appendix, it says that she was 13 when she was struck by Tsuto, and she ran away to Magnimar for several months, returning for her mother's funeral and staying to care for her father until the depressing situation became too much to bear. Then she left again when she was 16 to be an adventurer, but disaster befell her adventuring party in 4706 (17 yrs old) and she returned to Sandpoint with her earnings, and purchased the Rusty Dragon.
Whichever you run it is up to you... But this is what I could find as written.

No problem, it was something that I had just learned recently when doing research for my Rise of the Runelords, take 2... (of which I promise that I will be a lot better in putting up Campaign Journals this time around) I want to pay more attention to details this time around and work to make this a better living breathing campaign!

I'm a little confused about "Xalisa awakens". I'm looking at the Anniversary edition page 238, and I think Xalisa is resurrected when Mokmurian dies. Mokmurian is the last sacrifice to begin Karzoug's final stage of his wakening. This sends another pulse of power through the runewells, which sinkholes the minor runewell in the Catacomb of Wrath, which catches Lamashtu's attention, which causes her to resurrect Xalisa.

You are correct, Xaliasa is resurrected well after the last date on the timeline. Date will vary based on time for pc's too complete Book 4.
There are other errors, at least in my mind:

It seems highly unlikely that Nualia would have hooked up with the Skinsaw Men a mere 5 days after burning the temple; even less likely she returns to study with Erylium only two weeks later; and simply inconceivable that 4 months later (and almost 5 years before the campaign begins!) that she takes up residence with the Thistletop goblins. You'd have to be deaf, dumb and blind not to find the "key" to getting past the door in E5 with 5 years of searching. And almost certainly her presence there would have been discovered by Shalelu or others in the area long before now. Going unnoticed for a few months - plausible; going unnoticed for 5 years - not really.
I suggest some alternates:

I'm wrestling with the timeline myself as I prep Runelords.
I've spotted some discrepancies in the excellent work above (and in Runelords itself of course). Most of these relate to the Kaijitsu family and the Late Unpleasantness
Page references relate to the Anniversary Edition.
Ameiko's return: Rusty Dragon entry (p382) says Ameiko has run the inn for 6 years. If the start time is October 23 4707, this means she is in town before the Late Unpleasantness of 4702, yet we know from Bethana (p27) that she returned to Sandpoint for her mother's funeral and her mother died during the Late Unpleasantness.
Solution: amend p382; Ameiko has run the Rusty Dragon for 5 years, not 6.
Kaijitsu birthdates: Bethana's background reveals Tsuto is born in 4888, and Ameiko in 4889. This makes Ameiko 13 at the time she returns to Sandpoint after a year of adventuring, and 18 in the 'present day'.
Solution: amend p27, on the assumption there has been a partial edit of the timeline for the Anniversary Edition. Tsuto is born in 4884, Ameiko in 4885. This makes her 22 in the 'present day', and 17 when she returns to Sandpoint to open the Rusty Dragon (I'm more comfortable with a 17 year old running a pub than a 13 year old).
The Late Unpleasantness This occurred 'late in the year' in 7202. The timeline in above puts it in the middle of the year. No real issue. However, the description of the Late Unpleasantness indicates Chopper's killing spree lasts 1 month, and Naulia doesn't burn the chapel until 1 month after Chopper's death (p373).
Solution: amend timeline above.
