Personal Questions about the Iconics

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Hey. I've got a few things about the Iconic Characters I'm just curious about and just like some answers is all.

1. What are the exact age of each of all the Iconics. I know Ezren is in his early 40s (and certainly got Grey early, man!).

2. What all the Iconic characters think of each and every one of each other in your honest opinion?

That's all.

Wow. I think this is something that only the creators of the Iconics can TRULY answer, but...for a select few, you can read the Crypt of the Everflame playtest journal, and see how several of the Paizo staff (and a friend of Paizo, too!) interpreted their relationships.

Generally, I'd say that each Iconic is open to interpretation by the player. Paizo has given the players a brief backstory, and starting stats and equipment...sort of a framework to build the character on.

As for age...well, I started Kyra at age 19.

Will the warmth of Sarenrae melt Ezren's cold heart?

Find out in four or less posts!

Scarab Sages

See the manly bear-hugs of Harezren, two posts from now!

80% of all males would agree.

On a related note, 10% of all males would lie about disagreeing.

According to Kinsey, another 10% of all males would be mostly neutral on the matter, but would likely be appreciative of the aesthetics.

Back to the topic:

How would the iconics answer "If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?"

Well I think it is safe to say Merisiel would say "A stabby Tree"

The sad thing is that in D&D/PF/D20, that really doesn't narrow it down that much. :D

There's NOTHING sad about being stabby.

Being stabbed, though... that can be sad.

Better to stab first than be stabbed.

Like the time I stuck my rapier into that intellect devourer's brain! Get it? It's brain-shaped, and I stabbed through it's brain shape into the brain that was inside it!

Also, it was inside of Harsk's head at the time. He still grumbles about that.

Being Stabbed is first of all painful and if done skillfully usually deadly, which means that I absolutely agree with you on :

with all this talk of shipping, it make me sad for the dwarf. Which female would give him chance?

&Bye the way I remember them saying that Ezren was 50 when started learning Magic. I think that would make him 60 or so at 1st lvl.

Is this the belated start of the "Shipping"?

Liberty's Edge

I think:

Harsk and Sajan could have a beautiful bromance to last the ages.

Valeros commissions fanfiction shipping himself and various lovely iconics of the feminine persuasion, hoping the women in question will eventually read it and think hooking up with him is an awesome idea.

Amiri is amenable to accepting aforementioned commissions, if the pay is good enough.

That Amiri is a hunk-a hunk-a fiesty female.

I muh gonna ship her with Lem and have the little guy
make uh few Climb Checks...

Aaaahh! It's like a chihuahua and a St. Bernard! XD

Actually, I think Amiri and Ezren would have an interesting relationship to explore. Both of them break from accepted norms, they're both fairly intelligent, and each has his or her own special brand of crazy... It wouldn't have to be a romance, it could be a friendship, or at least a mutual acceptance/grudging respect kinda thing.

~grins~ I asked MERISIEL out on a date. I can't help it if James is part of her personality.

Amiri and Lini. 'nuff said.

Okay...

Definetly didn't intend for this shipping stuff to ensue.

Why don't we just stick figuring out the Iconics' ages?

I believe the official answer is "deliberately vague", to work for the situation at hand, and depending on what level they are at. They'd probably age more in Kingmaker for instance, than Second Darkness.

Yeah, pity that Ezren doesn't quite swing that way, he's more of a sword than scabbard man is what I'm saying.

So is this the thread I can post my Valsk (Hareros?) fic?

Several of the iconics have backstories that mention ages and years.

Seltyiel for example, was said to be released from prison after 5 years in 4707 AR, and was said to be imprisoned at the age of 23. That places his birth in 4679 AR.
