My departure from my current job is official now--I even have a going away lunch scheduled. :)
That is the best feeling ever, isn't it?
I can remember when I was leaving the bank, I was practically giggling for 2 weeks straight.
You worked at a bank TOO?!?! Small world. I felt the same when I left the bank.

Sorta. I will probably get an apartment in Charlotte, which is about 80 miles away from home. If I do that, then about half of my income will be non-taxable. Since it's only an 80-mile drive, I can go home any evening that I want to.
I was trying really hard not to move out of the state, since my son only has 2 more years of HS left.

My experience is on the customer-facing side of things, so it may not be a valid comparison. Besides, sometimes what you need is just the change itself.

Glad to hear it. I hope nothing keeps you from going back to Myrtle Beach next year. I really look forward to seeing you in person.
On another note, I don't even remember you saying that you had a son. Jeez! And 2 years from graduation. Holy Cow!

However, the eldrich Mr. Shiny has said that he is going to sue me for mental curelty and torture. it seems that 4 hours up to MB and then another 4 hours back in the same car with me was too much for his poor mind. When he was not crying in horror, he was raving about getting to Pony to sue me or something like that.
Maybe it was the 6 burritos you had for breakfast?

Yep. A 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter.
If anything makes me feel old, it's watching them hit all those milestones growing up.

Caught up but late for work again. :/
Probably won't be on tonight after work as I have an earlier start on Wednesday mornings (4am) an dI'm already falling asleep from lack of sleep.
Have fun all.
Sorry to hear it, Flash, especially the 4AM start.
By the way, have you changed jobs, and I just missed it?

Anyway, everyone knows Thing and I are the real sock puppet pair. When's the last time you've seen us on at the same time? Hmm?
That would explain so much.
What he told us on the religious thread? What about how he loves bunnies?
I think this link falls in the category of 'he who smelt it dealt it'.

Wow by the looks of things I'm way to young to be a grognard....... YER ALL OLD!!!!!!!!! As a side note still pretty crazy boring here, there's only so many times you can tease the newfies before they start teasing back.
Also since I play 4e and 3.5, I guess I can't qualify :P

That's definitely where I am. The contract is for a year, so, if I don't like it, I can move on to something else.

Just turned 34 over the weekend. Bit my gaming teeth on AD&D 1E back in 1991. Found out shortly thereafter that 2E was out. Been gaming ever since. I do consider myself a grognard.

Lynora: Ouch. Hope you manage to find a comfy position so that rib can heal, and for those allergies to let up.
Sharoth: My apologies for implying you have deadly dishes and biological cultures growing in your Fridge. :) Too much sugar & caffeine on my part.
Tin - Brass - Copper - Silver - Electrum - Gold - Platinum - (and now I guess) Astral Diamonds
Sounds like Frosted Spanky Charms cereal. :)

Okay folks, I'm off for now. For any and all interested, I will be putting up the link to the Monks for my campaign setting when I get home. Methinks I'll have some icky fast food tonight- I feel like celebrating!!!!! But not for too long, of course- my cracked-out Paladins are next on the queue.
Where you gonna put it? I want to see it, but I'll forget in an hour.
Claxons, man. Loud alarms and blinkies, por favor.

Maybe Freehold DM could place a link in his profile page. That way, we wouldn't have to scour through posts to find it. And, if we do finally remember it, we can quickly find it.
Just a thought.
