Sorta. I will probably get an apartment in Charlotte, which is about 80 miles away from home. If I do that, then about half of my income will be non-taxable. Since it's only an 80-mile drive, I can go home any evening that I want to.
I was trying really hard not to move out of the state, since my son only has 2 more years of HS left.

My experience is on the customer-facing side of things, so it may not be a valid comparison. Besides, sometimes what you need is just the change itself.

Hellow FAWTLYers. I hope the MyrtleCon was a blast! My weekend was fun and exciting, but now it's time to relax.It was fun. However, the eldrich Mr. Shiny has said that he is going to sue me for mental curelty and torture. it seems that 4 hours up to MB and then another 4 hours back in the same car with me was too much for his poor mind. When he was not crying in horror, he was raving about getting to Pony to sue me or something like that.

Yep. A 15 year old son and a 13 year old daughter.
If anything makes me feel old, it's watching them hit all those milestones growing up.

Just turned 34 over the weekend. Bit my gaming teeth on AD&D 1E back in 1991. Found out shortly thereafter that 2E was out. Been gaming ever since. I do consider myself a grognard.
