My friend started an after-school D&D club at our high school (I was too mortified to join, it was really cheezy, half LARP half D&D). Oh man, you should have seen what the Yearbook folks wrote about it when they were doing the caption under their picture in the Extracuricular section ... owwww

*sigh* OK, time to go to work. Although I'm going to get an early mark today. I was supposed to be doing a computer install this afternoon, so I organised to finish work early so I could make it. They contacted me and asked if I could do it on Friday instead, so I said yes and am just going to finish work early and "say" I still have to do the job today. :D

On an airplane? Of course! In the delivery room? Sure, why not! At high school? Only in the teacher's lounge.

Well, it was in place for Wayland Massachusetts until at least the start of the Nineties there. It wasn't big city, but it was Lefty Liberal Land. Most of the adults in town were high-powered execs in Boston with the swank suburban digs.
But then there was Wayland's little village of Cochituate, which had the remanants of an Irish-Catholic population from an old shoe factory from the Industrial Revolution. They formed the core of the 'slacker' crowd. Me, I was just a nerd with teacher parents who lived there. I played D&D, LOL, and didn't smoke 'till I took up binge drinking in college...

I remember having a hallway that was set up with a tarp covering the entrance, thats where everyone went to smoke during breaks between classes. That and the entrance on the other end of the hallway.
