Summoner Changes
Here is a list of changes I could find for the summoner class.
-Only one Summon Monster SLA may be active at a time. If a second is cast the first will end.
-Link has had language included clarifying magic item use
-Eidolons start with 4 skill ranks instead of 8 now. They now have
-Trip and Weapon training have been moved to 2-point evolution
-Frightful Presence has been moved to the 3-point list from the 4-point one
-Large went from 3-point to 4-point and it gives the same bonuses as before. If you spend 4 more points you gain the Huge size with the Huge bonuses which are the same as the old Large and Huge bonuses combined.
There are a lot of spell list changes noted here.

Thanks Zurai! I'm not as familiar with the summoner as the Alchemist. I missed the change for the SLA because I was comparing with the original pdf.
Cartigan what are you referring too? Large went from 3-point to 4-point and it gives the same bonuses as before. If you send 4 more points you gain the Huge size with the Huge bonuses which are the same as the old Large and Huge bonuses combined.

That describes what happened.

The loss in eidolon hit die has also brought about a loss of stats tied into hit die. When compared to the previous incarnation of the class, the eidolon of a 20th level summoner has lost 2 hd, 2 bab, at least 8 skill ranks, +1 to each good save, and a feat.
A summoner and her eidolon now share magical item slots. For example, they may only have two rings active between the two of them at any one time.

Zurai wrote:I didn't see that. Where's it mentioned? Not that I don't believe you, just want to see which text I missed. It's been squished into the Link ability under the Eidolon default special abilities section. Quite the innocuous place to hide a change like this, if you ask me.
Wow, yeah, you're right. I never thought to check that for magic item restrictions.

I added the updated link information to the main post since I can still edit it. That is a big change there.
Hey, do you think that means cursed items will transfer to the Summoner if it was originally used by the Eidolon? Seems Jason found a solution he would be comfortable with...

I notice no additional head evolutions though, I had hoped that would make it in, Jason had said he was wanting to do that. :(
Oh well, I like all the changes so far, although I wish there were some alternate base forms that were more non-combat oriented (higher mental than physical stats), although I can always house rule that I suppose. And also some evolutions designed for healing instead of damaging.
