Summoner Changes
Here is a list of changes I could find for the summoner class.

-Only one Summon Monster SLA may be active at a time. If a second is cast the first will end.

-Link has had language included clarifying magic item use

Link:
A summoner and his eidolon share a mental link that allows for communication across any distance (as long as they are on the same plane). This communication is a free action, allowing the summoner to give orders to his eidolon at any time. In addition, magic items interfere with the summoner’s connection to his eidolon. As a result, the summoner and his eidolon share magic item slots. For example, if the summoner is wearing a ring, his eidolon can wear no more than one ring. In case of a conflict, the items worn by the summoner remain active, and those used by the eidolon become dormant. The eidolon must possess the appropriate appendages to utilize a magic item.

-Eidolons start with 4 skill ranks instead of 8 now. They now have

-Trip and Weapon training have been moved to 2-point evolution

-Frightful Presence has been moved to the 3-point list from the 4-point one

-Large went from 3-point to 4-point and it gives the same bonuses as before. If you spend 4 more points you gain the Huge size with the Huge bonuses which are the same as the old Large and Huge bonuses combined.

There are a lot of spell list changes noted here.

  • Eidolons have 1-2 fewer HD at every level.
  • Eidolons have a maximum number of natural attacks now.
  • The summon monster SLAs are back to standard action, 1 minute/level duration.
  • The only restriction on Eidolon gear is no armor.

That doesn't quite describe what happened to it..

Thanks Zurai! I'm not as familiar with the summoner as the Alchemist. I missed the change for the SLA because I was comparing with the original pdf.

Cartigan what are you referring too? Large went from 3-point to 4-point and it gives the same bonuses as before. If you send 4 more points you gain the Huge size with the Huge bonuses which are the same as the old Large and Huge bonuses combined.

There ya go ^^ went ahead and spelled it out.

  • When re-summoned, Eidolons return with the same amount of hit points they were unsummoned with, or with half hit points if they were unsummoned through hit point damage.

  • The loss in eidolon hit die has also brought about a loss of stats tied into hit die. When compared to the previous incarnation of the class, the eidolon of a 20th level summoner has lost 2 hd, 2 bab, at least 8 skill ranks, +1 to each good save, and a feat.

A summoner and her eidolon now share magical item slots. For example, they may only have two rings active between the two of them at any one time.

I didn't see that. Where's it mentioned? Not that I don't believe you, just want to see which text I missed.

It's been squished into the Link ability under the Eidolon default special abilities section. Quite the innocuous place to hide a change like this, if you ask me.

Wow, yeah, you're right. I never thought to check that for magic item restrictions.

I added the updated link information to the main post since I can still edit it. That is a big change there.

Hey, do you think that means cursed items will transfer to the Summoner if it was originally used by the Eidolon? Seems Jason found a solution he would be comfortable with...

Seems to be a good assumption.

    Like the magic item solution.

I notice no additional head evolutions though, I had hoped that would make it in, Jason had said he was wanting to do that. :(

Oh well, I like all the changes so far, although I wish there were some alternate base forms that were more non-combat oriented (higher mental than physical stats), although I can always house rule that I suppose. And also some evolutions designed for healing instead of damaging.

WoW what a beating summoner and Eidolon took.
