We just started a new campaign. 3 of us picked playtest classes. It should be noted they are all used as listed in the pdf, the changes listed for the summoner were not used as I would not have played the class with such changes (All interest in the class would have been gone.) All at level one.
So a recap of our first day. No need to explain the plot, but the cav could not bring their horse. Everyone else was fine. Also the cav in my opinion is greatly underpowered because of the spec he went, dual wielding bastard swords. Overall no one came out as very exceptional, taking the spotlight. The summoner probably put out the most damage, but not by much followed by the ranger. The summons did not really contribute much, but made great annoyances to enemies. The witch helped a lot with knowledges and debuffing. Ranger was a great scout as well. The summoner did very little than some knowledge checks and summoning things.
I will keep updating here as the campaign continues. Feel free to ask questions.

Second sessions, spider Island.
All still level 1.
The summoners really did shine. The eidolon and summoned monsters really kept a lot of the agro and the eidolon did a lot of damage.
The ranger was helpful with survival checks to keep us on course and did a decent amount of damage.
The witch helped a lot by having two healing spells prepared for that day. Didn't do much else with bow damage.
The cavalier was able to bring his horse, but it did not help in a dense forest. All of his combat was unmounted, his buff helped the party to hit in melee though. Probably shined the least.

Which pdf are you using? The old ones where the classes were released separately or the most current version where all the classes are in the same document?
Ah I didn't even realize there was a consolidated version. The three separate ones. It looks like the summoner got all his pretty summoning back in that version anyway. I will share this with the rest and maybe we will update.
Thanks!
