In Holland, it's spelled dijk. Dike is the American spelling, just like tire for the rubber on a wheel; and like tyre, it's spelled with a Y elsewhere.

Personally, i am not sure i understand why an individual should not be allowed to use what other word they feel expresses there sentiment.
Surely if a profanity offends you, there is a pre-existing filter, which is choosing not to read the post at all.

Can you request a list of the words? How do you discuss the entries on the list if the subject comes up during a meeting?
Also, there is a tool called a "dike" it looks like a set of wire-strippers.
