I'm a big fan of the Scout class as presented in 3.5, but also felt that it was missing some of the over-land, woodsy attributes that a truew Scout class ought to have - somewhere between a Ranger and Rogue without magic.
Any plans to offer an update or Golarion specific Scout class? Seems like the APG would be the ideal place to do it.
Thanks

Cliff,
Besides the awesome Kobold Quarterly article Gorbacz just mentioned, there is something else in mind to remember about the APG.
They're going to have some support for tailoring existing classes, in order to create hybrids exactly like the old scout class.
You don't hear too much about that when the APG is discussed, because that material isn't going to be used in the public Beta Test. So it isn't brought up a lot.
After all, six new classes wouldn't eat up the word count of an entire book.
It gives you something to look forward to..

@ Watcher: A Class build system would be cool, but I've typically found them easy to abuse (by other players, of course - not me!!! lol), but I'll keep that in mind. I hadn't delved that deeply into the sundry of threads and topics in the BetaTest section for the APG just yet.
Simply stated, the 3.5 Scout class is, in my opinion, more of a vehicle for the Skirmish combat class ability. That's fine, of course, but it's not really a "scout". Setting ambushes, tracking, knowledge of toxins and their remedies, wild ken and other more varied outdoorsy stuff would be the skill set, with a class power progression akin to the Rogue Telents, some of which suit my idea of this class pretty well (Bleeding Wound, etc.)
It's not as simple as a Ranger without Magic, but I'll stay tuned and see if some of the other classes planned for the APG have cross over elements that could be used with the class building rules that are also planned.
Thanks.
