Hi all,
I signed up for PFS at GenCon and I'm trying to register. I have my PFS number, but not my confirmation number.
What can I do? I don't want to lose this character that I'm playing and I want to be able to track his progress on the site, make sure everything gets reported.
Any help would be great, thank you.

Do you mean your character number? if this is your first character, it would be (your pathfidner society number)-001

I believe he means the confirmation code that comes on the pre-generated PFS# cards organizers can generate and print (located at the bottom of the Event Reporting page). If you lost the card with the confirmation number on it, then you can't connect your Paizo account to the PFS# assigned and reported at GenCon. You'll have to appeal to Josh or another Paizo staffer to get it fixed on the admin side of the website.

How do I contact the great and mighty webmaster Josh? (just in case he is reading this?)
First, go out and buy a sharp knife and a live chicken. During the witching hour, light 66 candles (all spaced no more than 30' apart) and turn off all other sources of illumination. In a large mirror watch your reflection as you cut the bird's throat, spill the blood in all four compass directions and say "Joshua J Frost" aloud three times. Joshua should appear in 1d6 rounds and fulfill your request (which must be phrased as a single sentence). The remaining chicken must be surrendered as payment. Or e-mail him josh@paizo.com. The first way is more fun though.

Not if you are the chicken

Sorry to resurrect this rather ancient thread, but I am in the same pickle Clonge. There is a Pathfinder Society event coming up soon in my area, and I've just realized I never registered my character from the last one. I can't find my card, but I DO have my ID#, the event code for the one I attended, and my GMs' signatures from the modules I played. Who would I need to contact to see if I can still get registered as soon as possible? (I wasn't sure if Joshua would still be the one to go to, seeing as how this thread is 4 years old.)

You would have been much better making a new thread then preforming necromancy on this thread. The person to contact has changed, it is now Michael Brock

I think at this point your only option is to get a new number through the site, then contact customer.service@paizo.com to merge the two numbers under the new one.

Not entirely, you could contact the person who gave your the card, they should be able to give you the confirmation information, if the card originated from them.
Not neccessrily. While there's the possibility that person still has the information, it's also possible they deleted the pdf containing the reserved numbers after printing them.

It may no longer be a case of hope they have the original pdf. I was delighted last month to discover not only where the tab for generating 10 new numbers was but also there was another button underneath it for generating the ten numbers I had initially printed off. I got there from My Account > My Pathfinder Society > GM/Event Coordinator > scroll down to bottom of page

This is why, as a coordinator, I print two copies of all membership cards. Staple them together and then cut them up. When I hand them out I have the player put their names on both, and give one back to me. I still have copies of every membership card I have handed out.
Props, that is definitely going above and beyond.
