Any ideas where the new classes hail from on Golarion?

At first glance, I'd say that the Cavalier is definitely something that began in Taldor, and eventually took root in other post-Taldan-rule areas, such as Andoran, among other areas.

As for the Oracle, it's a class that wouldn't have a specific area of origin. I see oracles as occuring all over Golarion.

Cavaliers sound like good choices for Mendev, both sides of the Taldor / Qadira border, and some established 'house' units from Cheliax, Taldor and perhaps even Andora.

Oracles could crop up anywhere, since I suspect that, like Sorcerers, they are as much 'born' as 'made,' but I'm seeing them as less affiliated with large churches, meaning that, if Sarenrae is most commonly worshipped in Qadira, for instance, Oracles of Fire might be *less* common there (and less common in Cheliax, as well, with it's heavy Asmodeus-worship). Oracles might end up being prophets in the wilderness, so to speak, off in places where a Cleric with that particular Domain / worshipper of an associated diety might not be a common sight.

It could even be portrayed as a kind of balancing mechanism, like some sort of divine Brownian motion, with Oracles to particular 'Foci' cropping up most commonly in areas that don't have any significant divine representation of those forces. (Or it could go the complete opposite! Perhaps the heavy concentration of Asmodean pyromancer-priests and Sarenrae fire-dervishes makes Oracles of Fire especially common in Cheliax and Qadira!)

I was wondering more based on their illustration, do they look Taldan, Chelish, etc.? Anyone notice any clues?

My question should have said: Any ideas where the new iconics hail from on Golarion?

We'll be doing a new series of "Meet the Iconics" for all six of the new base classes in a few months—these posts will not only show off the final full-color artwork for each, but will also reveal their backstories and heritage and history and personality.

If I had to place them now, though, I'd say the cavalier's from Mendev and the oracle is from Varisia.

With her headdress, I'm getting a distinct Russia/Eastern Europe vibe from the Oracle...maybe from Irrisen? :D

In that outfit? She best have endure elements tattooed across her backside :)

Maybe she does maybe she does... and the foci symbol for it is a heart.

Overall, the Oracle clothing makes me think of North African and Middle Eastern with a touch of Han Chinese.

I think "The Crowheart Legacy" just got a new character. Bless you, Lilith! :D

How about the prestige classes? Where are their origins in Golarion? Shadowdancer for an example.

I was thinking South African or Haitian voodoo vibe myself.

EDIT: Especially with a Bone Mystery and some raise dead spells.

everytime I see her I think of Callisto from pirates of the Caribbean

Same here!

That was my thought, too, Seeker. I enjoyed that character a lot, and I think Callisto would be a good portrayal of one type of an Oracle.

Sooner or later I'll drop in my game an oracle based on the voodoo lady from monkey island :)

Excellent. Because Callisto is one of the several inspirations for the oracle class.

AHHHHHH! New iconics! I still want the "old" iconics to be fleshed out more.

The cavalier looks like he's got viking style runes across his neck/collar area of his armour... could point to a wierd Linnorn Kings connection?

Then again I see runes everywhere!

I could see the Oracle as being a class that would crop up in Ustalav too, it definitely fits the whole "gothic horror" theme. that one would probably be a oracle of bones :D

That's exactly what I was thinking, too.
