Aack why no Titan in the beastiary?
Just not enough room. There's a few dozen monsters that just wouldn't fit. That's what happens when you have thousands of cool monsters and a limited number of pages - you have to make some hard decisions about who stays and who waits. On the upside, we're really striving to make sure that all the MM monsters that didn't make it into Bestiary I make it into the sequel. So don't worry, just because monster X, Y, or Z didn't make it into the Bestiary that doesn't mean that we were like "Monster X, he's LAAAAAME! Kill 'em!", it just means he's on deck for what's next.
And in the Titan's case specifically, rest assured that we have something new and cool in mind, which I promise will be worth the wait!

I must say, I love PRPG and the Bestiary specifically and simply can't wait for Bestiary II to come out. But don't rush it, keep it the same quality!!!

hey, so, if there's no titan, who is going to go around crushing my philosopher's stones? I mean, not that there's really a point to crushing one, but it's the principle of the thing. Now I'm going to make a big mean wizard's castle made out of philosopher's stone, and nobody will ever be able to crush it!
Dilmax the Uncrushable Castle! A-ha-ha-haha-hah!

Just because there's no titan in the Bestiary doesn't mean there's no titans in the game itself.

No, but we have cyclops now...
I would have mentioned the cyclops myself, if you hadn't beaten me to it!
When I first got into 3rd edition, I ranted a lot about what was missing from the MM, ESPECIALLY the cyclops.
(Well, maybe the Kenku also. I thought the Kenku had been used quite a bit during the 2E era.)

Well, considering all the other creatures from classical mythology that have been ubiquitous in D&D, the cyclops seemed a glaring omission. (And no, "cyclopskin" don't cut it.)
Well, we do have the Tengu...

I think tejón meant that you should have said "...we have THE cyclops now..." or "...we have A cyclops now..." if you meant it in the singular.
Of course, this is such a minor point, it scarcely seems worth explaining.

Errata for the Core Rulebook: "Mattock of the Titans" is now "Mattock of a Really Big Guy Possibly Named Bob"
Not needed. There's plenty of monsters mentioned or depicted in the core rulebook that don't yet have monster stats, be they the akatas shown on page 222 or the banshee in the spell "wail of the banshee." A canny reader might look at such mentions as monsters with a VERY HIGH chance of appearing in Bestiary 2...

I've used titans all of twice. The first time it was an RP encounter where the titan provided some advice for the party, assuming they didn't tick her off.
The second was in Labyrinth of Madness...that was a heck of a fight.

Both of those products were produced on license from WotC. It was not our decision, for or against, if the sequels to those products would be published.

Sorry to bump an older post, but for whatever reason I just realized this past week that there is no titan in the Bestiary. I actually have plans for my soon-to-be-upcoming Golarion game that incorporates the machinations of the titans as background noise. Eventually the players will get swept up in it, of course, but that's not until high level play.
So, I am very much interested in seeing how Paizo handles the titan, and the mythology around them. It's going to be a long wait it seems. Drats!

I'm calling for TITANs to be more than just extra big giants.
Something truer to the original mythologies behind the word.
The mythology of Golarion's titans are touched upon in The Great Beyond. Paizo's Bestiary will remain setting neutral, but they no doubt will stick to what they've already established.

Ah, thanks! I'll go review what that says! Thanks!
