Hello all -
Glad to hear you are on the mend, FW. Hope your are feeling better overall.
Folks, I want to sincerely apologize for my long absence and the delay in continuing forward.
After I got ready to start working on posts, one of guys that I work with left his job on as we were getting ready for a corporate audit. As a result, I've had to do two jobs over the past week, so its been pretty much work and sleep the last week.
Not as serious as FW's surgery, I understand. But it could mean the difference whether I get to keep my job, which is kind of necessary for me in the current economy.
Anyhow, the crisis has passed for the most part, and I am going to start working on post again.
Thanks for your patience, and I'm sorry to disrupt the flow.

When I was in A and E waiting to be examined by a doctor, a nurse came in and handed me a gown, saying "get changed." Then she left my mate and me. After much puffing and panting I managed to get out of my clothes despite having a drip in and my mate helped me into the gown.
We struggled with the knots but eventually got it sorted and I kind of drifted off into la-la land for another hour or so. Then the nurse came back and laughed, "you have it on back to front!"
I quickly covered up my tackle and went bright red in embarrassment. There is no dignity, it should have been my arse on show instead!
Anyway real life and work is far more important than this stuff.
Cheers

Hello all.
Thanks for your patience and understanding. What an awesome bunch!
I hope no one has ruled this thing thread out as dead.
The corporate audit is done, and we are generally in good shape. One more program this weekend that will keep me occupied, but otherwise my time is slowly freeing up.
Hope everyone is still interested and willing to give 'er a go. I'll start doing some posting today.
Cheers!

Hello all,
I hope everyone had a wonderful week, and got to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday as it applies to you.
Internet was restored on Monday, but then I was "volunteered" to help coordinate a Thanksgiving Beach Music festival. So, I am finally getting a chance to get us going again.
Thanks for your patience and interest in this thread. You folks have been great.

Hey, Alex. I just downloaded the Cities of Golarion book, should I avoid the section on Cassomir for this game or will we not really touch it at all?
Hello! That's a great book - I enjoyed it and I think it fleshed out some details about Golarion that were interesting.
I don't think there's anything major that would impact the group's trip to Cassomir. There's an adventuring leads portion that might provide hints for an adventure, but nothing game-breaking I think. So feel free to read away.
I like the location, but it isn't high on my list for an immediate trip - there's one specific way that the party may wind up in Cassomir, but I think it's unlikely (unless everyone suddenly wants to do an adventure there).
Hope that makes sense.

Sorry for my slow responses guys, over the past week I have been busy being a new father for the second time around. Our new daughter Abigail is absolutely beautiful, but is taking up a lot of time at the moment!
Heheh, No worries here Moth! Enjoy!
The second time around is more 'enjoy' and less 'worry/panic'. At least in MY experience! :PAnd babies DO take up a LOT of time. Mostly when you'd like to be sleeping. (But they're just so darn CUTE!) ;)
Gratz again!

Congratulations! Been there myself, so I know how much time the needy little buggers take! :-D

Hello one and all.
I hope you guys haven't given up on me after another long absence.
After dealing with what I thought would be the end of my work crisis, there was another work situation where it looked like I would lose my job.
So, for the past two weeks I have "volunteered" to go through the interview process and take on a new set of projects that I have put me at work until late at night.
That process is now over; I get to keep my job; and all my projects are done. I should be posting more regularly - assuming everyone is still interested.
I appreciate your patience, and I hope you enthusiasm hasn't waned.

I’ve not been on the boards for the past week or so; turns out that looking after a new baby (who’s been sick as well) combined with the general busyness that accompanies the lead up to Christmas doesn’t leave much time for recreational computer use. Who knew?
So, no responses to this one, and no further posts in the game thread. I’m happy to continue if your time has freed up Alex (and glad to hear you’ve kept your job!).

'Volunteering' for extra work, Booo!
Getting to keep your job,... PRICELESS!
Everyone at the university is grumbling because we get NO raise this year. Of any kind or amount. I'm with them, but considering all of the cutbacks they have done and that we all know are coming, I'm just glad to HAVE a job! Especially Since my teacher-wife is still unemployed. (Because Substituting don't count!) ;P
I'm with Frenchie, I has the attention span of my 7year old. The good news, when you get back, I will be too! ;)
Merry Christmas everyone! :D

Merry Christmas!
I'm trying to keep in mind how hard it is out there, especially for people like me that have bachelor's degrees in fine arts. So no more job complaints from me.
I have more DM ADD than player ADD; there's just too much cool stuff I want to run. That Kaer Maga supplement and a new adventure... very tempting.

Heh. I have a MASTER'S. You see how far THAT got me! ;P
That degree and $5 gets me a coffee at Starbucks! :DI have more DM ADD than player ADD; there's just too much cool stuff I want to run. That Kaer Maga supplement and a new adventure... very tempting.
Heh, I also know how you feel. If I actually thought I could pull it together, I would offer to run a game! I have been getting the itch for a while now,...
Just FYI-
My son is sick (Caught a cold, first of the school year, JUST in time for Christmas!) ;P And I think I'm getting it too. (Double ;P)
Also busy with the usual holiday nonsense, making candy, pies, cookies, etc. And have travel planned (IF I don't get sick!) So, I may drop off the radar at any time. Should be back by Jan 3 at the latest.
My prayers to all of those with expectant wives and sick kids,
and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all! :)

You guys have been great to play with! Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Happy Christmas to all. May the blessing of the seasons be with you and all your families.
I'll be traveling the next few days, so for those of you in similar straights - safe journeys as well.

Merry Christmas/Winter Solstice/Kwanzaa/Robot Independence Day!
I found myself with free time while at my parents' house and then before I know it I'm making up a map grid file in Adobe Illustrator and I'm all,"James, what are you doing?" and then I think "Well, I'm teaching myself about the line tool. But since I got that Kaer Maga book and that adventure, this might be a handy thing to run an internet D&D game..."
So, just throwing it out there to the people that I've already played with (and tried to DM before Alex graciously came to the rescue while improving the game tenfold) if maybe, if I can get my act together, anyone might be willing to play a Kaer Maga game if I ran one?

Abso-frikkin'-lutely! You can definitely count me in on that one. I've been wanting to play a bloatmage for some time now ... that or trying out a Brother of the Seal, or any one of a zillion other concepts.

Aaaaand HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Yes, I'm back. Barely.
I'll play catch up as quick as I can.
:)James, I confess I don't know what 'Kaer Maga' is, but I'm always up for another game! ;)
Kaer Maga is a (mostly) lawless city in Varisia, built into the Storval Rise by ancient and mysterious architects in a bygone era. The only ways to reach the city are through the Halflight Path which winds vertically underground from the foot of the Rise to just outside the city walls or by crossing the Cinderlands over the course of many days to enter the city.

Recruiting thread posted, I've put aside spots for Mothman and Bryan since you guys expressed an interest. Looking to start in February.
