Haha. I stopped posting on that thread like 2 days ago. I embraced my inner buddha and realized "who hath the last word on the messageboards is not who hath the last word in the world." Or something. Plus I'd only be rehashing things I said early on in the thread.

Yeah no need for arguments during the holidays. That's what families are for :P

RPG Superstar 2012

I wasn't serious. I've learned you can never "win" an argument on the internet.

I'd say it was for the best, for you, that you walked away.

As long as I am not the only one. :)

Yeah we were together for about 5-6 years before I finally said "I suppose we should get you a ring" one night while laying in bed watching the Jewellery Commercial announcing 12 months interest free...

Just call me Mr. Romantic! :)

I did almost the same thing. She was passing em in the living room and I asked her when we should set the date for. She almost feel over. :)

Yeah, I realized afterwards you weren't being serious. Heh - makes even more sense now :)

I wish I was always making PbP characters... Of course I could never follow that many games, but as soon as I put the finishing touches on one, I want to start another one. I am a character creation junkie.

Become a DM. You'll never lack for interesting characters to create :)

I'm tempted. I just don't know if I would have the prep time. And as far as PbP's go, I post a work a lot, and I feel like as a DM that would be hard to do. I'd have notes and maps and all kinds of stuff.

Edit: Plus, I feel like the most interesting NPC's DM's probably wind up dying the quickest :)

I forgot to put in a smiley.

As for your PbP characters, you can have them take over a page in this thread, just like a certain monkey g...

I just did. Really, when you're supposed to be linking to Mastodon, was that really much worse?

Well, as some advice from a failed pbp DM, if you do end up doing it, don't procrastinate with the major and read the combat rules closely before you have an actual fight. Also, if you don't give them much direction and an interesting bit that isn't actually related to the module that you just made up, they're probably going to grab onto it like a starving pit bull.

I think I would have good ideas. It's the game management that is intimidating.

Or have them stumble out of the Plane of Fire a burnt husk, thirsting for vengeance?

I probably shouldn't be giving you ideas, should I? Eh, at least burnt husks still die if you stab them in the kidneys.

Oh you guys gave me that idea days ago Davi. I was talking about your brush with the Githyanki gish Imogen.

(And yes for the purists: Note I only used the term in its proper form, describing a Githyanki)

$#%@, we shouldn't of just left Toranna laying there. At least I never actually stabbed her...

My brother in law sent me an interesting e-mail with a photo of his "Christmas decorations".

It seems that he took a dummy, dressed it in warm outdoor clothing with gloves and then humg it from the gutter on the front of his house and placed a ladder haphazardly on its side nearby.

wording of the email:

"Good news is that I truly out did myself this year with my Christmas decorations. The bad news is that I had to take him down after 2 days. I had more people come screaming up to my house than ever.Great stories. But two things made me take it down.

First, the cops advised me that it would cause traffic accidents as they almost wrecked when they drove by.

Second, a 55 year old lady grabbed the 75 pound ladder almost killed herself putting it against my house and didn't realize it was fake until she climbed to the top (she was not happy). By the way, she was one of many people who attempted to do that. My yard couldn't take it either. I have more than a few tire tracks where people literally drove up my yard."

Well there's the Christmas spirit [/sarcasm]

That's even tasteless around Halloween. Especially when you consider a couple years ago a woman actually hung herself in October and stayed there for a couple days because people thought it was a Halloween decoration. At Christmas... Gah... *head explodes*
