Bump that age up a bit. I'm 46 and a have a hand-drawn sketch of her by Jim Craig(?), artist for Spiderman comics, made in ~1976 when everyone else had him make Farrah Fawcett sketches. (Actually he got tired of the same thing over and over and asked if I had a different one for him to sketch.) Fell head over heels for her as I watched him sketch it.
gotta dig up that sketch...

Correction:
QFT. Every heterosexual American male between the ages of 35 and 40 is hot for Linda Carter's Wonder Woman.
But, No on California Prop 8!

Good catch! Although if a person were even slightly on the fence, she'd still be a slam dunk!

Prefer to be on the other side of the rope... Pity DC/Warner couldn't get the stick out of their aft for Sky High though. Her creator had an interesting life though.

A few that bear looking into:
* Red Sonja (from the comics/stories, not the awful movie).
* Buffy - TV series, not film (may not be the popular choice from the show, but I've always found Buffy to be the hottest one on the show).
* Veronica Mars (Kristen Bell deserves more attention than she gets).
* Rachel Keller from The Ring. (There's just something about Naomi Watts...)
* Vampirella (Need I say more?).
* Dale Arden (any version of Flash Gordon. This woman has always been hot!).
* Guinevere of Camelot (Got both Arthur and his best friend. This gal makes guys forget everything when she's around).

I am 36.... Never Attracted to her... I general though, I am not a fan of the styles back then.

Actually, I hadn't even considered Superheroines. (Yet, is it not the Superhero genre a subgenre of Fantasy?)
In that case, I would have to add...
Empowered

On screen:
I soooo agree with all of the women on Firefly, althought Kaylee and Zoe are espcially appealing. And Saffron is a great addition, too!
Although I never really cared that much for the show, I have to say I found Xenia Seeberg really, really cute as Xev Bellringer in Lexx.
In printed form:
Susan Sto Helit from Terry Prachett's Diskworld books. Death's granddaughter is teh hottness!
I can't belive that I'm the first person to mention Tyrlandi from the Prophory House Horror and Savage Tides... She's got a great S/M suicide girl quality to her!
In comics:
Thrillkiller Batgirl
Scandal Savage
Huntress.!!
Zatanna.
Lady Blackhawk.
Queen Bee (cover #20).
Killer Frost.
She-Hulk
Spider Woman (especially done by Frank Cho)

Doctor Girlfriend. While the voice talent is disturbing, she's a hottie!
And of course Molotov Cocktease.

Wolf Munroe |

I'm going to go with Inara. To quote Jane: "I'll be in my bunk."
Kaylee is hot too, especially in her angsty "I ain't had nothin betwixt my nethers that ain't run on batteries" mode.
I'd also say I like Regeane from Alice Borchardt's 1st and 3rd werewolf books (The second book is a prequel happening hundreds of years before she is born, but dealing openly with surprise plot points from the first book). In the first book (The Silver Wolf) she's initially described as kind of homely but as the book progresses, the reader gets the impression maybe that's just her self-image since she's being taken to Rome to be married off politically and men keep having "very positive" reactions when they see her.
Also, Susan Delgado, Roland Deschain's star-crossed lover in The Dark Tower series.
Of course for hotness I also have to mention Lucy Westenra and Wilhelmina Murray in Dracula, especially as portrayed in the Francis Ford Coppola version, and especially Lucy in that version (when she was still sucking air rather than blood).
Continuing in that vain, Mary Van Helsing and Lucy Westerman in Dracula 2000, not to mention the other two "brides" of Dracula in that film, whose names I forget.
Did you see Grendel's Mother in the new Beowulf? I know she was modeled after Angelina Jolie, but I am convinced Angelina Jolie isn't even that hot. (Grendel's Mother was better looking in the face.)
Oh, and Sam from Dark Angel.

![]() |

Faith from Buffy The Vampire Slayer...
Evil faith, from the paralel universe, is soooo much sexier.
Also another dib on Kaylee, and (obviously) River from Firefly.
Also Dax, both Jadzea and the younger model after....even though Ive only seen 15 seconds of footage of her, it was enough to make my night.

Ambrosia Slaad |

Then I have to nominate Selene from Underworld (so-so movie) and Anna Valerious from Van Helsing (dreadful movie).

Selene yes, definitely, both fantastic movies...

CURSE YOU, WONDER WOMAN!!

Invader Smee |

The vampire chick Sylea from the PS2 game "Champions of Norrath". She has one of those outfits that makes you wonder how the little gold bangles stay stuck on her. Sheer force of will, I suppose. Plus, her accent gives me shivers.
And for bonus points, in the sequel "Champions: Return to Arms" she grants you a second magic-earring item slot by nibbling your ear when you rescue her.
Honorable mention (also appearing in both games) is Kerriel the Naughty Mermaid. She writhes about on her rock and very suggestively offers you a... reward... for completing her quest.

Most the girls from Champions series were hot. I still have both the calenders that came with the game.
Also the first Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance game ... there was a female drow necromancer ... just wow.

From Buffy, I'd vote Faith. She's not the prettiest girl on the show, but she sure as heck is the *hottest,* and that's what we're going for here.
From Angel, I'm partial to rarely-seen recurring character Gwen Raiden.
And for Firefly, Inara, Kaylee and River (and Saffron) all take a back seat to Zoe, for me. She's insanely hot.

"Just as I expected... 32 flavours!"
And I'm going to add Lux to the list of hotties. Yes I like wrath of the dragon god, shoot me.

Sue? Sure! Sebastian! ~re-reads Matt's pos and then gives a bitter sigh~ Damn it, I thought you said sue, not shoot! ~grumbles and heads out~ Meanie!

Anya all the way!

Cordelia was waaaay hotter in Angel than she was in Buffy.
But I'd have to go with Ilyria. And for Firefly, Inara, Kaylee and River (and Saffron) all take a back seat to Zoe, for me. She's insanely hot.
Kaylee. Hands down no contest!

Well I'm a big fan of Starbuck from the Battlestar Galactica remake...
EDIT: or maybe it's just Katee Sackhoff, 'cause I'm also pretty fond of Sarah Corvus from the Bionic Woman remake as well...
I have to go with Boomer plus she has clones.:)

Babylon 5: Susan Ivanova
Susan Ivanova: Who am I? I am Susan Ivanova, Commander. Daughter of Andre and Sophie Ivanov. I am the right hand of vengeance and the boot that is going to kick your sorry ass all the way back to Earth, sweetheart! I am death incarnate, and the last living thing that you will ever see. God sent me.
Babylon 5: Delenn
At that moment, however, four jump points form above the station. Three Minbari warcruisers and the White Star jump into Babylon 5 space. In command of the White Star, Delenn tells Captain Drake that the station is now under the protection of the Minbari. Drake tries to assert his authority, ending with the words "Do not force us to engage your ship," to which Delenn coolly responds:
“Why not? Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else.”

So say we all!

I'd say more about the whole female Firefly cast, but that would just be unnecessary. Though Summer Glau wasn't as sexy there as she could be, for some reason. I guess she played her role too well, and that innocent gal/insane fighting machine thing sent too many conflicting signals. That and the huge competition. Because in, say, Terminator, she manages to be extremely hot.
I'll also second Dany from Throne of Ice and Fire (books and TV series both).
I don't think anyone mentioned Lyta Alexander from Babylon 5 yet, so I hereby officially do so. That woman had fire. I guess it comes with the territory, being the psionic equivalent of the Death Star.
Come to think of it, Babylon 5 has several great entries: Commander Susan Ivanova, Captain Elizabeth Lochley, and Number One from the Mars Resistance come to mind.
And the books of Jim Butcher contain lots of great entries for this as well:
In the Dresden Files, we have, Molly Carpenter a.k.a. the One Woman Rave; Susan Rodriguez, yellow press reporter; and finally Karrin Murphy, tiny... but fierce! I'm not going to include any white court vampires or fairies, because being so pretty men stop thinking with their brain is what they were made for, so that's cheating. Otherwise, Lara and Lilly would totally be on that list. And Lasciel's out because she's basically a succubus's succubus.
From Codex Alera, I'm going to submit Amara and Kitai. Especially Kitai. I have a think for women with spirit. And if any woman has spirit, then it's one who is furious at finding out that what you have been doing with her is apparently not proper in your culture and will grab you by the throat in rage - nevermind that you just broke your leg.
Pathfinder's not off limits I assume? Other than almost half the iconics (i.e. the female ones with a few exceptions, like those with tusks), Queen Ileosa needs to be mentioned.

KaeYoss |

Ooh! ooh! I forgot someone. Especially fitting since the thread title contains humour and sexism:
Bayonetta.
That woman manages to dress overly provocative (in her own hair - which she also uses for magic, so when she summons some huge infernal demon, she's nearly nude) but scare you enough that you won't dare thinking about her as a mere sex object. She dares you to do that.
But everyone with even a milligramme of brains left won't objectify a women that measures the damage she deals in gigatons.
Plus, the accent is sexy. And the glasses - they're really sexy. But then I have a thing for pretty women with glasses.
So hail to this witch queen, the one who uses demon-possessed bazooka-tonfas (four of them at a time, for arms AND legs) as weapons when not conjuring demon goddesses bigger than planets to beat up creators.

As a child of the '80s, I have to say Colonel Wilma Dearing was pretty hot.
Only in the 1st Season White Uniform...The Red and Blue Flight Suits were ick! The Sailor Moon Uniform was just getting weird.

+1
On all Battlestar, I'd go with Grace Park in either her Boomer or Athena roles.
Caprica 6 scares me.
You couldn't pay me to get involved with Starbuck.
Laura's nice.
Dualla's a close second.
Who'd I forget?

Doodlebug Anklebiter |

I'll add a shame-faced vote for Tika Waylan and Alias.
I'll also support Barbarella, but no shame there.
Of the Whedonverse, I have a penchant for Anya and Jenny Calendar and Inara.
EDIT: Lady Evaleigh from Gary Gygax's masterpiece Saga of Old City.
There's a picture of her on page 165 which, in retrospect, isn't even that hot. It must've had something to do with reading it at the exact moment that puberty started but that picture and the paragraph where GG describes a medallion hanging between her breasts marks my first interest in sexuality. Weird.

Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) from the old Adam West Batman show!
Even Robin notices... (Safe for Work)

Hmm, Books Dejah Thoris has been mentioned. How about (after surgery) Angelina diGritz
Especially the way Carlos Ezquerra draws her LINK
Something about jumpsuits seems to work, judging by the Wilma Deering votes.
