The other E types are also considered too dense to really get into the thread.

IF ONLY YOU AND DEAD PEOPLE UNDERSTOOD HEX, HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD THAT BE?

I have to add to German language marriage jokes here:

Marriage is "Ehe" in German.

1. Ehe is an abbreviation. Latin: Errare humanum est. (To err is human)

2. A couple, she is solving a crossword puzzle and is really bad at it. She asks him "End of life with three letters?" ("Tod" in German)
He: "Ehe."

I know, low jokes, but they seemed to fit somehow.

I can't take credit for it, unfortunately. Search "math joke" on Wikipedia.

Another excerpt:

A dozen, a gross, and a score
Plus three times the square root of four
Divided by seven
Plus five times eleven
Is nine squared and not a bit more

Should I be sad that I got this?

Heh, that's so cool! People have far too much time on their hands. Thanks for the wiki search idea, too, I'm sure I'll be getting some chuckles out of this. :D

Possibly.

Reason behind the spoiler to avoid ruining the joke:

Spoiler:
Oct=8-based numeric sdystem and Dec=Decimal (ten based) numeric system

So 31 Oct is 3*8+1= (ta-da) 25 in Decimal

So 31 Oct= 25 Dec

What's better than math jokes? CHEMISTRY JOKES!

A mosquito was heard to complain
That a chemist had poisoned his brain
The cause of his sorrow
Was paradichloro
Diphenyltrichloroethane

Little Johnny was a chemist
But now he is no more
What he thought was H2O
Was H2SO4

Money is the root of all evil
M = E^1/2

Women are an investment in time and money
W = T*M

Time is Money
T=M

Therefore
W = M*M = M^2 = (E^1/2)^2 = E

Q.E.D. Proof that Women are Evil.

That 31 Oct = 25 Dec is both incredibly brilliant and incredibly lame at the same time! :)

Why as 6 afraid of 7?

*drum roll*:
Because 7 8 9!

I'm actually growing to be a big fan of The Mighty Boosh myself (which I hear made it over to the states. Is this true and if so what channel does it come on?)

Comedy Central, its part of the Adult Swim bloc, it usually airs Sat & Sun.

Isn't Adult Swim Cartoon Network? Or did comedy central pick it up? (Been out of the Cable loop a long looooooooooooong time).

Ooh, here's a story for you:

I was hanging out with a few people back in high school, and one of them (a bit of an idiot) tried to pull out that particular joke. Another one of the guys had been having a bit of a bad, day, and wasn't in any mood for bad jokes. The exchange went something like this:

1 - "Hey, guess what! Why was six afraid of seven?"
2 - silence
1 - "Dude, this is funny, man! Why was six afraid of seven?"
2 - "Because seven f!~%ed your girlfriend, now SHUT THE F*@$ UP."

I liked his ending better.
