Have the devs ever mentioned plans for releasing content for an oriental adventures type product? Since there are oriental lands in the game world this would make it perfect for such a thing. I really, really would love to play as a Samurai or a Ninja alongside Paladins, Sorcerors, Monks, etc.
I am assuming this means no one knows. lol
My local group will be starting a new beta Pathfinder group soon in a custom setting. I argued vehemently against that, wanting to play in Golarion, but to no avail. I have the 3.5 Oriental Adventures book and I know Pathfinder is supposed to be pretty comparable to 3.5. I would LOVE to be able to play in the game as a Samurai with maybe even some levels as a Ninja (subterfuge/espionage guy). How compatible would this be with Pathfinder beta and would the Samurai be at a disadvantage/behind the power curve in regard to other melee classes like Paladin, Fighter, etc?

Eventually, there is likely to be a Tian Xia book. I'm betting that's where you'll find the flavor you seek. How long will we have to wait? Uh-nu-know :shrug:
Both Mike McArtor and Nick Logue had expressed interest in doing such a supplement in some posts a year or two ago.

My company, Adamant Entertainment, is developing a setting supplement for Pathfinder, called SWORDS OF THE MIDDLE KINGDOM, which is based on Chinese wuxia films, novels and comics.
I heard one of the big guys at a symposium at Paizocon saying an Oriental package is in the works, but it will most likely be a couple of years away.
