Klanos looked around, unsure what all the ruckus was about. Finally the noise was revealed to be a fox caught in a hunters trap. Muttering something about human ineffeciancy, he walks up to Holur after he frees the creature from the trap.
"'ere now, lemme 'ave a look. Hmph, ifn ye be needin food dere be much more efficient ways o'trappin yuir dinner wit'oot makin some poor varmit suffer.
Hmm, well ifn we let 'im go as is, likely 'e'll jes get eaten by somtin else. Granted such is da way o'tings, but seein as da damage were caused by sometin not o'nature, figure aye could use a blessin on 'im ta make 'im whole again an den send 'im on 'is way. Wot say ye?"
Ever suspicious and not wanting to be taken by surprise, Gambril keeps his eyes and ears peeled for danger.

Holur and Zalania are not only able to free the fox but are able to treat its injuries. The fox is very exhausted and your not sure if it is comfortable with your presence or too tired to run off. Either it stays put with you two. [if Klanos heals him more than one hp he gets up, he is wary but does not leave]
Gambril feels the hair on the back of his neck go up, and at that moment two dark creatures that look to be a cross between a raven and a hawk come diving in through the treelines gunning for the party. They have razor sharp claws almost have the size of the raptor creatures themselves.
An arrow flies into the trunk of a tree right where the dwarfs head used to be before he bent over to look at the fox being attended to.
Everyone roll initiative, Gambril you may act in the surprise round.
Gambril unleashes an arrow from the underbrush...then hides back behind the brush.
Mechanics:
Attack: 1d20+3=16, 1d6+1d6=8 Bow damage:5, Sneak attack:3 (if I can get a shot within 30 feet.)
Rehide:1d20+7=14
Looking up a stark few seconds before the raven-like creatures swoop in on them, Zalania feels the cold tingle of forewarning. She reaches into the scarf tied at her waist and pulls out her starknife, then murmurs a few arcane words as a shimmering field of energy appears in front of her.

Sorry, I forgot abOut the diviner ability zalania. You do indeed act in the surprise round.
Gambril, if you are firing at one of the Razorclaws you hit. If you are firing at the one firing the arrow you missed. I could not tell which one you were doing. I assumed the one firing the arrow. Please let me know as that will determine the razorclaws actions as one of them will be no more. the driud and the dwarf will be up shortly.
I was actually aiming at the razorclaws since I missread the post and didn't even know there was someone firing arrows.

Two terrible shrieking birds with claws almost the size of themselves descend on the group, Zalania in divine alacrity calls on the power of magic for protection while she calls on steel for violence. Gambril stealthily appears from behind a tree, and vanquishes a razorclaw with a fast launched arrow to it's chest. The remaining razorclaw dives the for the dwarf but only clips him before taking off hastily for altitude.
Another arrow from the woods comes flying in, barely missing Zalania. The sharp whisper of the arrow snaps at the ears and attention of those close.
A rough and mocking voice comes from the woods.

Klanos pipe nearly falls out of his mouth as the arrow appears in the tree beside him where his head had just been moments ago. Spinning around, he does actually drop the pipe when some crazy bird thing slamss into his shoulder and wings off for the sky. He was not hurt, just shocked that anyone would attack a well armed group of adventurers.
"Oi! An why donna ye be followin yuir own advice anna come down where we ken see ye! Strikin at folks unawares and such, ye momma dinna do such a good job wit ye did she now.
Torag be bountiful in yuir blessins dis day, as yuir faithful servant comences ta whoopin some crazy archer butt."
Zalania dashes towards Gambril, trying to take cover behind a close tree.
"Who are you, what do you want with us?!"
She takes out a scroll of magic missile.

Klanos and Zalania are easily able to find cover behind the many trees of the forest. Klanos sends out divine magic to ward and enable his friends. Zalania arms herself further with a parchment as dangerous as any weapon.
Hee...Hee... No thanks, I will stay behind my tree. Just as you are staying behind yours. What a fun game this is....

Right on, Gambril. You and the rest of the party are doing quite well.
[ooc] Gambril moves to a better position to catch a veiw of the attacker, while maintaining his cover. Gambril very clearly sees a hobogoblin in rugged hunting attire slowly moving to another tree. He holds a bow at the ready with an arrow notched, his eyes betray an eagerness to kill. The hobogoblins face openly displays a smile.
Gambril will prepare to fire into the back of the hobgoblin then rehide.
Mechanics
Pretty sure I missed unless he's flatfooted against me again. But I think I made the sniper hide again.
Klanos lets the sniper talk and tries to hone in on the source of the sound while remaining silent himself. Moving in the sounds general direction he tries to defend himself as best he can, keeping his shield just under his eyes and his weapon at the ready
Zalania stabs her starknife into the tree she is taking cover behind then attempts to carefully peer around and see if she can see the hobgoblin. If she can see the hobgoblin she swiftly reads the scroll in her hand, releasing a magic bolt of energy from her other hand .

As the brave dwarf trudges forward, Zalania casts forward a magic missile which zooms right over the Dwarf's head and into the woods.
A screech of surprise immediately followed by a holler of pain and anger comes from the woods.
The fox remains close to the woman's feet and whines while looking behind her.
Gambril and Holur are up.
Gambril will snipe the hobgob again, but IC is down, if you'd care to do the honors...

Gambril peers around the tree and zeros in on the screech of pain and anger, the hobogoblin can be seen clearly as he tries to move to cover.
Gambril notches and fires an arrow, the hobogoblin is hit in the leg and yells in further rage.
Stumbling forward to one knee,the hobogoblin sweeps his bow to and fro in desparation. His eyes are wide with fear and anger, finally choosing the Dwarf moving towards him, the hobogoblin fires an arrow at Klanos.
Klanos feels the full force of the arrow slam into him but knows that it has been stopped by his armor.
Klanos narrows his eyes and grins as the arrow bounces off of his armor. "Heh! Ye best be runnin fer da hills ifn dat be da best ye got. Sounds like ye already be takin a fair bit o' damage from me companions. An now wit ye mewlin like a new born kitten, aye be closin in on ye to. Be ye already at peace wit ye god? Better make it soon boyo."
Homing in on the grunts and yelps Klanos move in towards his opponant, hoping to catch sight of him.
Edit: I forgot to ask if I could see the hobgoblin still.
Zalania nods with satisfaction at the hobgoblin's howls from both her magic missile and Gambril's arrow as the burning ashes from the previous scroll fall to the ground, disintegrating before they singe the grass below. She reaches into her sash and pulls out the other scroll of magic missile , peering around the tree to locate her target, then swiftly triggering the scroll as blue bolts of energy depart her hand.
Gambril carefuly maneuvers around again and releases an arrow into the undregrowth...but his shot is so bad he blends right back into the undergrowth.

The arrow quickly shot by Gambril unfortunately goes wide, but Gambril is able to quickly regain his hiding place and cover.
The hobogoblin tries to train his bow on the two heroes in the woods but is unable to draw a bead. Murmuring in indecipherable garble, the hunter aims at the metal wall advancing towards him.
The hobogoblin screams in rage as he advances into the clearing next to his tree, two arrows are launched this time at the fortress called Klanos.
The arrows strike their target unerringly, one in the helmet and one in the shoulder, but neither are able to penetrate the armor.
Klanos: You feel a solid blow to your shoulder and a powerful one to the head.
You further know that the shots have not gone through, although you don't need Zalania's cards to tell you a major headache is in the very near future. That's what ale is for.
Klanos: You are up. The hobogoblin has entered the clearing 30 feet away.
"dammit" Gambril mutters to himself...he then slings his bow and draws his rapier. "Time to take the fight to him."
Clang,Clang. The arrows again bounced off the dwarf, the last striking him solidly on his helm beneath his hat. "Oh ayel be feelin dat in da mornin."
Upon sighting the wounded hobgoblin, Klanos snorts derisivly. "Wassa matter, no witty riparte! Ye shoulda figured we be findin ye, smellin lie ye do. Now.. Have at ye!"
With that the dwarf charged in, his mace swinging around to resoundedly thump off the creatures head.
Gambril attempts to slip up behind the hobgob Sneak: and slip his rapier between the hobgoblin's ribs

Zalania leans down and scoops the small fox into her arms. It struggles for a moment but she does her best to soothe it. Charisma check.
She looks at the hobgoblin's body from a distance.
"What do you think all that was about? A trap of some kind?"
"Hunting like most races do, but then he decided to hunt the wrong folks t'day."
Gambril bends down to examine the hobgoblin corpse and send it on its way if he's still hanging on...

2 weeks, knocks an arrow and looks for the DM
"It is true that patience is a virtue, but such lengthy waits are a little unnerving." She strokes the fox in her arms to soothe it when it yips at the hobgoblin's body.
"Alas the ways of Fate-masters are strange, and even I cannot foresee or foretell what delays we now face." Zalania closes her eyes and attempts to expand her intuitive ability, but to no avail.
After a brief excursion in the wells of infinity, Zalania opens her eyes, taking a deep breath of the air as she feels herself returning to her body.
"How long was I gone? I don't usually trance out like that."
Zalania pets the fox, speaking to it in hushed tones.
"Don't squirm. You'll get your bandage opened again."
She looks around to see if anyone else is there, but the forest is strangely quiet.
"Gambril! Holur!"
Stardust, do you want Zalania to contine or would you like to see if the others come back first?
After waiting for what seems like hours, Zalania realizes the fox is tired and hungry, so she starts to head back to the noisy logging camp.
