Dorn, there are a couple ways we could do this, but all have to do with your connection to the Elf Queen. You could give the peacock something that came from the Elf Queen's court, or perhaps you could tell her something that would be of some worth. I will let you describe it in any way you choose. You will get a magical gift from the peacock in return, but exactly what it is depends on how you describe what you are giving him.

A sudden flash of inspiration comes to Dorn mind. He rummages through his pack, and after a while, brings out a brilliant headdress of many colors - one seemingly shaped for a peacock. The Elf Queen had presented it and her men gifted it to Dorn in a rather public ceremony.
"Why did she even make something that would fit a pe..." Dorn's thought trails off. Perhaps a prophetic vision on her end? But this must be the moment. Dorn gets down on one knee, presenting the item to the peacock, gesturing to have it placed on its head.

The peacock's eyes go wide when she sees the headdress. He quickly bends over to let you place it on his head and immediately begins looking at himself in the central mirror again.
A phrase suddenly appears in your head, a phrase in Elvish:
"When light and dark meet, there will be an end to chaos."
At least, you think that's what it means in Elvish. Although you learned some at the court, you are far from fluent.

The mirror seems to just be a normal mirror as nothing happens when Dorn utters the phrase.

Lady Victoria knows that it sounds like an old elven saying, but does not know its origin.

IS there any more business with the bird or the mirror or the pond or the pathways or anything?

You leave the room of the peacock by the only other means available: a door that looks like it should be in a garden fence.
Beyond it, the corridor twists and turns with numerous branches that quickly run into dead-ends before you stick with the route that looks the most frequently traveled. This finally ends in a t-intersection. To the left is another door, but to the right is another corridor, this time a very straight one that eventually ends in yet another door. The door to the immediate left looks like it is made from the gnarled bark of an ancient tree, while the door at the far end of the corridor to the right is too far away to make out in detail.
As you stand at the crossroads wondering which way to go, you hear a deep rumble somewhere far away in the dungeon, as if great stones are grinding against one another.
You remember back to something the scholar told you before you left the village:
"Don't forget these dungeons are living things, as hard as that is to believe. This one is still young, but it is growing, and the more it grows the more dangerous it will become. Let us hope that we can find its heart before it becomes too powerful."

You open the wooden door and find yourself looking into an underground hall that is easily twice as big as the peacock garden. This vast chamber is full of trees that grow out of the stone floor and spread overhead. Light filters down through the leaves as if it were a moonlit night in the woods. Shapes flit through the trees, and you can hear the sound of combat. As the shapes get closer you can see that it is two elves who are locked in combat with one another. One is a silver elf dressed in the same archaic style of clothing as the silver elves you encountered in the forest, but his clothes are all a midnight black. She is facing a male wood elf, also dressed as before, but his clothes are entirely white. Both stop their fighting and turn towards you when they see you open the door, and both look like they might be ready to attack the three of you instead!
Not quite combat ... you get to make an action if you like.

Upon hearing the words Dorn speaks, the two elves drop their weapons and sit down on the ground. They look at one another and then begin to have a philosophical conversation in archaic Elvish that even Lady Victoria has trouble fully comprehending.

Looking around the faux-woods, you see a few statues depicting ancient elven heroes dispersed throughout the chamber. From a distance, one looks different than the others, so you both decide to take a quick look.
Moving closer, you can see that the statue is wearing a real, woolen dark green cloak that is beautifully decorated with light-green stitching. The elves who were fighting when you entered the room are still in discussion, but you think that you are within the field of vision of one of them.
