Yes, that was the idea. Since we kept missing him before, I figured it would be good to instigate a meeting. :)

Tristan the Waif |

Allura pretends not to notice the waif as she drops a small loaf of bread and moves on to the next thing, leaving Lk to finally find out who the child is.
The waif notices the loaf of bread and makes a dash of it. Once it is in his hand, he hides it under his tattered cloak and moves into the alleys and spaces between the stalls.

The Dalesman |

Devlyn gets up the next morning and makes sure everything is in order for the custom builds that will be started later that day. When he comes back he notices that LK is already up and out - with Allura, if his nose is right.
He takes advantage of the little bit of time before the workers arrive to get in some weapon practice and exercise.

Allura |

Can I post now...?
I can - yay!
Well I hope everyone's morning is starting off better than mine - my workstation is convulsing on the floor thanks to a virus attack. Good thing I brought my laptop so I can research how to kill this damnable thing....grumble grumble ;P
Yikes. Good luck with that.

Allura comes back with breakfast, but without Lk.
Devlyn heads over when he hears Allura return.
"Did LK finally get sick of all the work and run away?" he says with a chuckle as he notices she is alone.

She laughs. "No. I asked him to help me track down that child that always waits outside the bakery. I've tried to get close enough to talk to him a few times, but he always runs away. I thought he might be less intimidated by another kid."

"Well, let's hope he doesn't scare the poor kid when he does track him down," he says with a grin as he dusts off the 'table' and pulls out a barrel for her to sit. "Shall we?"

"Of course," she says with a smile, laying out the food on the table and helping herself to some bread and fruit.
"So, what's on the schedule today?"

"Looks like the spellcasters will be starting their work on the garden and the main building - though I think the garden is getting top billing today. The protection from the heat and sand it will provide will be a nice perk for the place. And we can bring in a larger variety of flora to fill it out."
He munches on a peach thoughtfully.

She smiled. "Yes, it will be nice to have greenery around. I miss that about the Oasis. We've been so busy here I haven't even gone back for a visit," she says guiltily. "I feel bad about that. Sirone is like a mother to me. I really should stop in more often."

Grrr....This might be my last post for the day. My workstation's in serious trouble evidently, and I've got IT people coming over to kick me off of it while they try to save the thing...good times :(
I'm back on my laptop for the time being - fingers crossed :P"With the omniportal we don't need to stay here all the time, love. If you want to go back to the Oasis, we'll go back this afternoon. These guys know what they're doing, and it's not like the spellcasters can't message us if something comes up. And if you want to have some time to yourself with her and be away from all the bustle here, that's fine too."
He leans over and gives her a kiss, then pulls back to look at her. "Whatever you want to do today, love. All you have to do is tell me," he says with a gentle smile.

Good luck with the computer stuff. Hopefully you will be back up and running soon.
"Going back to the Oasis this afternoon sounds good," she said with a smile. "And some 'girl time' would be appreciated. Not that I don't love it here, just sometimes there seems to be an awful lot of boys around."

Many thanks - I'll take all I can get right now :)

"I know - it's been crazy. I'll take care of things here, if you want to go ahead and go back after breakfast," he says as he puts his arms around her. "However, I would very much love the pleasure of your good company later this evening. Hopefully you'll be free by the time I come back to the Oasis tonight," he chuckles, tickling her just a little bit. "Unless you want to be 'Boy-Free' for an entire day, of course..." :)

He finally lets her go as the workman arrive, telling her he loves her as he lets her get out of here before the day's insanity begins :P.
And that's it for me. Assume that he'll come back to the Oasis after dark if something comes up that can't wait until Monday.
Happy Weekend All! :)

Oops, yeah. But since when did kids care what a puppy looked liked? I've seen people who think basset hounds are cute, so who cares what Lk's wolf forms looks like. At least he isn't a dire pug.

Dropping his bread roll, Tristan hops off the barrel scoops up the grey puppy. Sitting down, he places the pup on his lap. Smiling, he strokes it soft grey fur. He soon offers him a piece of bread.

I'll be back to the normal routine soon enough, but it's nice to have a few days when I can sleep til noon.
Agreed - take advantage of it while you can. The only day of the week I even have a chance of getting to sleep in is Sunday, and even then it's iffy... :P

The largest goblin, smelling like two weeks worth of sewage, steps forward. Brandishing a cleaver, he says, "We've been watchin' ye fur weeks. Ye've been in our territory. Give us the pup kid, Won'ts be no troubles if ye doo."
Then a proverbial sh!t-eating grin stretches across his face.

Sorry I haven't been around, lots going on around here, 'tis outdoor time..
Muulsh does an inventory of his goods, trying to track down what is missing. He also hires more guards and a wizard to enchant his shop against scrying and theives
As Muulsh surveys his losses, he comes across an old parchment in a secret chamber inside the ransacked safe. Apparently the necklace the dark elf sought was placed inside his shop sometime before his purchase of the property.
He finds it quite odd that he never found it or bothered to investigate its origins. Judging by the age of the seal of antiquity on the old parchment, the architect may still alive and somewhere within the vicinity of the Bazaar. The seal appears to be gnomish in origin.

Little Kiba strikes true and latches onto the goblin's throat. The goblin squeals in terror as LK's fangs sink deep. Blood squirts freely through air. As splatters of dark ichor strike Trisan, he drops his shiv, shocked at what a single grey puppy can do.

Muulsh calls upon certain of his contacts in the lower orders of the Bazaar to find out any information on this architect. Meanwhile, he contracts for two lieutenants to coordinate his security, Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser. The two have wandered into the Bazaar after wandering the Interthereal Sea after the destruction of Club Calistria. Low on specie, they have hired out as consultants to the fat wealthy merchant

As the two heroes go out to discover what they can about this dark elf and the necklace, they come upon the goblin/Tristan/kiba fight
"What ho, creature? Would'st thou savage yon tot? Come, test your mettle on Graywand!"
Fafhrd unsheathes his greatsword, the ring of the steel echoing like a struck bell
