After Nirellia walks away,
She was odd. And very well protected by magic. Which doesn't necessarily mean anything one way or the other. Just, I didn't get a good read on her.
Jay, really, if there's anything I can do to help, let me know. I have asked the winds to see if they can't find more allies to help us. I don't know if they'll have any luck, but we can hope.

Hey! Magical protections aren't that unusual on aristocrats, and particularly not ones interested in gambling... You should see the protections some of the other guests have to stop people from picking their pockets whilst they hobnob, to stop themselves from getting drunk whilst they booze, or to keep their minds from being read whilst they play cards.... ;)

The Eighth Runelord |
A goblin messenger arrives with a scroll for Alaina. Trembling, he hands it over, then disappears.
The scroll reads:
The scroll is signed with the Sihedron rune and the emblem of the Eighth Runelord.

LJ puts an arm around Alaina, trying to give her support.
We're with you, Alaina. You don't have to face her alone this time. And I promise Sunny G will not treat you the way that Calistria did. Serafina will pay for what she has done and be removed from her unlife. We can beat her as long as we all stand together.
The music coming from LJ is particularly reassuring, granting listeners increased confidence and resistance to fear.

Alaina, the Fire Flower |

Alaina shudders
Thanks Lyn. She's so strong. One of the most vivid things I remember when Calistria was riding me...shudders again ...was her fight with Serafina at Club Calistria. She stood toe-to-toe with her! A divine power! Whatever she did to ... falters then recovers ... my girls, she's no ordinary-powered bad guy now.
A tear escapes from Alaina's sun-tattooed eye

We'll have to be careful not to underestimate her. I know that Sunny G will help you. And so will I. I can't match that kind of power, not without killing myself, not alone. But none of us have to be able to match her power alone. We're stronger when we work together. We've gotten used to all going our own ways since we first had to fight the Steel Tsar, but whatever she has become, if we combine the powers of the Elements against her, I truly believe that we can win.

Frogskin chuckles bitterly. "Yeah, but they have a lot of people on Team Evil. Candle Lighter, The Mask, the Pale One, the undead guys, the Jack..."

"my sister, the defectives, some sort of clown thingy, other assorted carnival creepies, lots of hobgoblins, that wolf creature working with the Mask, and possibly a very nasty black dragon. Among others we haven't yet met. I am aware of the direness of the situation, Jay. The trick for us will be to find a way not to have to fight all of them at once, and to gather more allies to our cause."

"Serving it, actually."

Corin Wisp |

In walks an obvious half-elf, probably a sun elf judging by his golden blonde hair and lightly freckled complexion. He's dressed in well oiled studded leather draped in a simple cloak. The cloak is held into place securely by a brooch bearing the five sunrays, an obvious holy symbol of Sunny Godhead. His clothing is rugged, but his sturdy leather boots show signs of well worn travels and tribulations. He's armed obviously with two swords whose scabbards are draped in elvish runes. He obviously carry only those two arms, but his aura suggests he may carry more hidden magic.
This last sentence is for the characters and in the Sanctum at this time and for those who can see magical aura
"Is everybody here," in chimes a voice. "Sunny G gave me the word, telepathically, on the who's who. Greetings Lynora-Jill, pleasure to meet you. And you must be Alaina, my boss's new herald. He sure knows how to pick them beautiful. Pleasure to meet ya toots. My name is Corin Wisp and I'm Sunny G's personal problem solver, trouble-shooter and hatchet man."
He looks around. "Say the Boss has extravagant tastes. "I like the place and the crowds, except the vomit guy...."
"You must be Jack Hammer. Heard so much about you and the catapult."
Again, sorry for the late delays. I got incredibly sick last night all because I forgot to take my blood-sugar pill. Hopefully that won't happen tonight.

Her previous divine patroness was not so good about providing things like help and support, she said in response to the unasked question. I was just telling her that Sunny G wouldn't leave her hanging like that. There are a lot of things we'll need to fill you in on, but your timing couldn't be better.

The Dalesman |

Lynora, if you want to take Devlyn & Allura back to the Oasis or leave them here for the night, either works for me now that we know the Grove is safe - just leave a little blurb so I know where to go in the morning. :)
Assume that they went back to the Oasis then. I don't think they're dressed for a party :P
Yeah - I'd prefer to be online to defend myself if they stayed anyway ;P
Heading back to the Oasis to take care of a loose end, then - and good morning everybody! :)

This is good to know. I smelt the stench of an evil dragon as I approached the Sanctum. But I didn't see or feel a response from Sunny G. Just his usual telepathic summons. I can't help wonder what he doing? Are we going to find this dragon's horde and plunder it?
Greetings, Corin. It's good to have another ally.
I'm glad to be aboard. Sunny G wouldn't have summoned me unless it was serious, or if he needed something sneaky or underhand accomplished. Is it safe for me to say you're a golem, am I correct.

lynora-Jill |

Alaina smiles
Thanks! The white thong bikini Sunny G likes his herald in helps.
Alaina twirls showing off a generous expanse of bronze flesh
LJ laughs softly. Yes, he does seem to have gotten a bit more specific about the vestment requirements. And it does look good on you.
She leans her head against JH's chest. She absentmindedly hums a haunting tune.
The Board Warden |

A solar powered marquee displays the following messages:
Ground Rules
01 No Tribbles on the premise
02 No Demons on the premise
03 No Demon Lord of Tribbles, in fact, no hairballs on the premise at all.
04 No Automatic Weapons on the premise. Only temple security may carry armaments
05 No Target Practice on meat-bags, fleshlings or other living organic creatures. This include human meatbags and their companions
06 No droids, automaton, golems, or other non-living individuals unless stated otherwise or given special permission by Sunny Godhead itself.
07 No red meat, (i.e. hamburger, steak, strips, etc.) unless served from the temple kitchen and Buffet.
08 No projectile vomiting on the grounds or anywhere else in the temple
No floating baby illithids (I still can’t get one out of my head)
09 All unaccompanied shadows will be expelled off the grounds
10 Undead will be detained and vaporized
Friends, adventurers and companions welcome to your new headquarters in the war against evil and darkness.
The image of a man stands before the marquee, blinking in an out of existence.
Many rules in this place. I shall watch it as well.
He blinks out of existence one last time.

Nirellia Dimonia |

The image of an elven woman appears in the sanctum to Alaina and Lynora wherever they may be. (Unless they are in areas where such projections could not normally work.)
I was visiting an ancient grove I had heard others speak of, when a huge metal construct of some kind appeared. It uttered several threats but then vanished - I think the powers of the grove may have driven it off - but I recalled that you are fighting some sort of enemy, and thought this might be of interest to you.
The image winks out.

Very Tempermental PlantJack |

LJ screams, and falls to the floor in pain. Her hand is clutching her stomach, and blood begins to drip through her fingers.
The....Place of the....Winds she gasps.
Plantjack curses.
"How dare they? I can feel it...I did not think they would dare destroy the Place...it is sacred!" He roars in anger, and he vanishes.
Nirellia Dimonia |

The elven aristocrat returns to the sanctum, and perhaps spends a little less time in the casino than she was formerly wont to do, and a little more peering out of windows, fussing over the guards and inquiring anxiously how well trained they are, or nervously fingering a wand of ivory which she has not been seen with before.
