The Advantage is pretty hefty, but you still have to roll for it. In other words, you're going to be rolling 3k2 against a TN of 25 to pull it off - your odds aren't the greatest. By the time the power becomes more reliable for you, it won't be too terribly overpowered.

As for your Blackmail and Forbidden Lore... I was thinking about possibly the khadi, the Heartless Sorcerers? These days, being a khadi is bad juju - they were basically all aligned with the Immortal Caliph, and thus, when she fell 30 years ago, a lot of people went out of their way to find their hearts and destroy them. Any survivors would be hiding and on the run.
(Khadi are also pretty nasty buggers in general, because in order to sustain their immortality, they have to kill another person, turning them into a ghul, once each month.)
So, what if you discovered that, say, one of your fellow Qabal members is a khadi?

That's because it's something that's mentioned specifically in the book, which of course you don't have. ;) One of the special rules for the weapon is that you can weild them in pairs if you have the relevant Emphasis of Swordsmanship.

The TN penalty shouldn't come up unless you try for the Raises to make a second attack, which dual-wielding lets you do to hit two targets (not normally possible with the extra attack you get from Raises). The second target must be attacked with the weapon in the off-hand if you go that way, though.
The sayf-saghir is a 2k2 weapon, and bows work basically the same way that they do in L5R (so ordinary arrows are 2k2, but the other arrow types can change that). You have your choice of bows - horsebow (+2k0 damage, reduce range penalties by 10, max Str 3), shortbow (max Str 1, but can be readied without an action), standard bow (max Str 3), or the Assassin short bow (gains a Free Raise to conceal it with Sleight of Hand if it is unstrung, max Str 1).
The only skill name that needs changing is Kyujutsu, which should just be Archery.
(As an aside, this is making me want to go play Assassin's Creed again :D )

Languages: everyone will begin with a Faction language (if appropriate) and Mekhem, which is the main language of the Burning Sands. So Aki will begin with Rokugani and Mekhem, for instance.
Lucky: This is a tricky one. I've been trying to decide how to handle "per session" things. My inclination is to tie it to some real-world calendar mark... like maybe a month = a session? What does everyone think?

I've decided to go with a Factionless, Lone Warrior... basically a wandering desert sellsword. I am preparing to work out the logistics after I finish putting together my combat information for Heroes of Rokugan :S.

Yeah, I've wondered that a bit too. I've also wondered why Revised itself wasn't held back until they'd, you know, actually edited it a bit.

I'm pretty much done aside from background (including trait), spells, and traveling pack. For the trait I'm probably going to go with faction agent. Traveling pack is easy enough and spells shouldn't be so hard. As for background I'm completely tapped right now but I have a while for that.
Anyway having the numbers double checked would be handy. If you wanted to make suggestions or corrections feel free to Shisumo, being the first character I make I'd like them to be helpful to the group and I'm not 100% sure this guy is yet.

I'm wondering where you're going to end up in terms of a Campaign Trait. Have you given it any thought?
One option might be the Reclaiming Your Roots option, spun as perhaps involving your grandparents rather than your parents.
You might also consider the Jackal Killer option, since the Jackals have infiltrated Rokugan once or twice before, so Aki might have had a run-in with them.

Not sure... I usually wind up toward the end of the pile, with a day or more between when I first start seeing posts saying "I have it!" and when mine shows up, but not this time. Which is bad, because I got waaaaaay too little sleep last night, staying up to read the adventure through about three times and figure out how I want to convert it...

Really Shisumo we can wait a little longer, especially if you're sick :P Besides some of us (Me) still need to iron out some stuff on their character. I've been relatively busy and honestly haven't been able to put a lot of thought into it. Maybe later tonight.
I'm not sick - I'm just categorically incapable of not reading a new Pathfinder adventure through, cover to cover, as soon as I get it. :D
