Appearance
Layali is a young woman in her early twenties, fairly average in both her height and build. Her hair is dark brown and kept fairly long, reaching down to a few inches below her shoulders. Her eyes are dark brown in colour and her skin is of an olive complexion. A scar a couple of inches long mars her left cheek, a permanent reminder of an old knife wound.
Layali is usually seen wearing white robes, with light armour consisting of a breastplate and bracers worn over the top. Two sayf-saghir are sheathed at her waist, one at each side.
Personality
Spoiler:
Layali can come across as being rather cold or detached. She attempts to be calm and collected in everything that she does, disliking irrational emotions getting the better of her. As such, she rarely loses her temper, but when she does, she *really* loses it. Layali is loyal, almost fanatically so, to the Assassins, particularly the Caliphate Guard who took her in from the streets.
Background
Spoiler:
Layali, along with her sister Aisha was originally an orphan on the streets of the city. They stole food, slept rough and generally led a meagre existence as they struggled to survive. This all changed when they stole a trinket from the wrong person - a tall woman, who unknowingly to them was one of the Assassins. She caught them, but instead of punishing them, decided to take them into the Assassin fold.
The woman, Sabine, was a member of the Caliphate guard sub-faction, and this was the life that the sisters were introduced to. They were expected to work and learn, but the life they now had was an order of magnitude better than that on the street. Layali developed first a strong appreciation of, and then a deep loyalty to the Assassins as the years passed. Eventually, she became old enough to be considered a full Assassin.
