- If the contestant posts in his or her entry thread during the voting period for any reason other to acknowledge feedback or to encourage people to vote for his or her submission, the contestant will be disqualified.
If PosterX says "Hey, your math is wrong in areas Q, R, and S.", are we allowed to acknowledge and refute those claims, or would that get us disqualified?

I think we get DQ'ed if we do that. Refuting someone's comments about your math isn't any different than trying to refute or clarify a point they missed in your write-up during Round Two. It's basically arguing or explaining in a way that might lead someone to vote for you. So, better to just say "thanks" and "please vote for me anyway"...and maybe "I hope to explain later"...

You know, I think it would just be easier to have authors not post in their own threads at all till after voting. All they can really post is "Hi, vote for me" and it seems to be causing mass confusion and fears. I didn't see a single pre-voting post by an author that added value (by design, per the rules) so why taunt them and everyone with any posting in there at all?
