I've been going over the magic items and wondering about some things regarding the item slots. Some things seem to have changed here, and I guess some changes are intended, but some might not be.
First here's a list of all slots mentioned in the magic item section corresponding with their items
- armor: armors
- belt: belts
- body: robes, vestments
- chest: mantles, vests
- crown: crowns
- eyes: eyes, goggles
- feet: boots, slippers
- hands: bracelets, bracers, gauntlets, gloves
- head: circlets, hats, helms, masks
- headband: headbands
- neck: amulets, medallions, necklaces, periapts, scarabs
- phylactery: phylacteries
- ring: rings
- shield: shields
- shoulders: capes, cloaks
Some single items have unique slots listed, probably in error:
Helm of underwater action: Slot helmet, should probably be head, like the other helms.
Necklace of adaption: Slot necklace, should probably be neck, like the other necklaces.
Belt of dwarvenkind: Slot waist, should probably be belt, like the other belts.
Two items have no slot listed, when they probably should have:
Helm of Teleportation: should probably be head
Phylactery of Faithfulness: should possibly be phylactery, but see below.
Now for the changes I noticed, and the questions arising from this:
- new slot armor: in 3.5 armor used to occupy the same slot as robes, i.e. body. This means you can now wear armor and robes simultaneously. Is this intended?
- renamed slot belt: was waist in 3.5
- renamed/changed slot chest: was torso in 3.5, now includes mantles that used the shoulders slot in 3.5
- new slot crown. Only the crowns of blasting use this slot. These used to be circlets in 3.5 and occupied the head slot. Is this really intended to be a separate slot?
- changed slot hands: combines the 3.5. slots "arms" and "hands" - this means you can no longer use bracers and gloves/gauntlets simultaneously. Is this really intended?
- new slot headband: was part of the head slot in 3.5. Probably intended to make space for stat booster headbands?
- changed slot head: lost some items to the new slots crown, headband[ and phylactery. There really seem to be a lot of slots on the head now, four in all.
- new slot phylactery: was part of the head slot in 3.5. Is this intended?
- new slot shield: shields were slotless in 3.5
- changed slot shoulders: lost mantles to the chest slot. Is this intended?

I noticed one more item that had its slot assignment changed: the brooch of shielding, which used to be an amulet, is now slotless. I don't know if this as an intentional change, but I think it's OK.

I parsed the data from pfrpg.com to see how many wondrous items there are for the different slots:
helmet_____ 1
necklace___ 1
waist______ 1
crown_____ 2
phylactery__ 2
chest______ 3
belt_______ 5
eyes______ 5
headband__ 5
head______ 6
body______ 9
hands_____ 9
feet______ 10
shoulders_ 10
neck_____ 14
none_____ 93
Some body slots have very limited choices whereas some slots lets you gnash your teeth in frustration. I'd wish for some more options without relying on the alternate body slot item creation rules. Please, our cruel and heartless GM deemed then the temptation of the Munchkin and banned them from our game. *whimpers and sobs*

That list would be easier to read if you combined the items that share a body slot. Head, headband, crown & helmet occupy the same slot. So do neck & necklace. Waist & Belt also.
Not the way it is currently written. Probably in error, though.
