While I respect Dr. Sharply's work, terrorists are not likely to switch over to robotic bombs when it will cost roughly $365 to build one, as opposed to the roughly $75 that it currently takes to outfit a car bomber right now. if you had the choice between five suicide bombers or one robot bomb, which would you choose? However, giving military robots autonomous kill capacity could create a problem, especially given the complex set of regulations currently in place which govern the use of deadly force.
