"Perhaps hasty introductions are in order. My name is Baran Caranthir and this is Rhade and my compatriot down in the sewer is Ulven. I am a bounty hunter by trade and these two gentlemen are my friends and partners. We've come to Sandpoint in hopes of meeting Shalelu and garnering some information on the whereabouts of a bugbear brigand named Bruthazmus. That was Dirdelle who just went down to join Ulven."

"Do you want to head down there?" Rhade asks Baran looking around for somewhere suitable to tie off the rope.

"Catalina's the name hun..." She says brushing past the others...beginning her climb down the rope, the four glowing orbs from her glowing lights swirl around her. Once she reaches the pillar, she'll spend some time observing it.

"Ree," Ree introduces herself with a two-fingered salute. "I'm not too eager to go down there, either," she agrees with Halungalom. "Too stinky for my tastes."

"I'll wait up here and keep an eye on Mr. Chodd. We'll need to get him to the temple to get him patched up and someone will need to notify the sheriff of the attack. A werewolf is a man who turns into a monster and that matches with the markings so we may have found a clue to the attacks and if so the sheriff will need to be notified. I suggest you go down and catch up with the others; an extra pair of sharp eyes will help. If you find something let us know and I'll get someone to escort Mr. Chodd to the temple and come down and join you."

FOR CATALINA

Spoiler:
The images seem to be pictographs like that of ancient cultures depecting the transformation of men into monsters. The arcanic symbols look at first to have magical origins but upon closer inspection they are frauds. Just swirls and lines of paint to appear like runes or sygils of power. There are a few images that are similar to those used by worshipers of Lamashtu, goddes of monsters, but the appear to be inept copies instead of true religious copies.

FOR ULVEN

Spoiler:

Traveling south beyond the grate you travel a few hundread yards. Occasionaly moonlight shines through grates in the town streets. Gradually the water gets deeper as the tunnel slopes downward as you get closer to the bay. No passages branch off the main tunnel. Eventually the water reaches your chest, but ahead you think you can see a ladder leading to the surface.

Catalina stands there for a long time with a bewildered look on her face.

"These images here are similar to those used by worshipers of Lamashtu...But it isn't quite right. It all seems fake..." she states slightly puzzled

Can i make an appraise check to determine how old the pillar is/what it is made of/the authenticity of it general? If so, my roll: appraise 1d20+10=20

Rhade nods back to Baran.

Looking across to Rees before climbing down the rope.
"Wouldn't happen to have a clothes peg?" he asks her looking down and wrinkling his nose in distaste at the smell.
Rhade then climbs down the rope and heads off after the others using the light source Ulven has as an aid.
Carefully heading towards them Rhade glances around wondering whether to keep using his bow or draw his blades.

"Sorry, no such luck," Ree replies with a shrug. "I don't even own a clothesline ... But maybe I can give you something else that will be helpful ... Illuminate!" Ree touches an innocent pebble on the ground, which starts to glow with a bright, white light. "Take it with you," Ree suggests, offering the pebble. Looking at Catalina, Dirdelle frowns. "So we have what appears to be a werewolf attack right above the sewer where someone has gone through a lot of trouble to place a convincing looking, but fraudulant pillar, seemingly dedicated to Lamashtu. Does this make any sense to you at all," she asks.

Male Gnome Fey Sorcerer 3

Um.. I'm still above. Is anyone else still with me, or am i the only one left up here not in the sewer? As my character is small, just slightly above 3' tall, he will drown if he goes down there.

Baran is still on the surface, and I believe that Ree is as well.

Edit: ninjaed, but it confirms what I thought.

"So.. with them down there, and us up here.. what should we do? I'm too small to go down, maybe there's something for us to do up here? We could at least tell the sheriff (or constable, or mayor, or captain of the guard, etc.) what's going on, right?"

Female Half-Orc Sorcerer 3

"If you like," Ree replies. The next moment, the half-orc yawns expansively. "Or we could wait here and see what the lot down there find out," she says in an amiable fashion as she leans against a wall.

Female Half-Elf Cleric 2/ Rouge 1

Maybe Ree or Etrac could stick you in a backpack and carry you ;p

"Why don't one of us step around the corner and quietly explain the situation to Ms. Ameiko and ask her to go speak with both the sheriff and the high priest while we keep an eye Mr. Chodd. She seems like a pretty level headed individual who we can trust to be discreet. That should give our friends down in the sewer a few minutes to see if they find anything else of interest to the sheriff. What do you think?"

Baran is going to study the buildings on either side of the alley looking for windows, balconies, etc. to see if there was anyway for someone to get to the roof and to see if maybe someone could have witnessed the attack.

"Well, I'm all in favour!" Ree says, applauding politely. "So long as I'm not the one who to explain to her that someone got mugged, anyway. Don't get me wrong, this is a lovely little town, but I got the impression they're not too fond of half-orcs. Getting my name mentioned to a sheriff or a high priest in combination with a mugging, possibly a monstrous savaging, and things could go badly for me."

"Thank you," Rhade nods back at her accepting the gift making sure the pebble is securely tucked beside his holy symbol which is now openly visible.

Am assuming I can do his because the cord thats tied around Rhade's neck passes through a hole in the top of the symbol and is able to hold the pebble and shine its light in front of Rhade as he walks through the sewer below

Rhade moves to catch up with Catalina, Dirdelle and Ulven.

The place foul smelling as it is feels even fouler but Rhade can't place why it should feel so as he moves up beside Catalina and Dirdelle whom can see the half elf thanks to Rees light spell.
"Problems?" Rhade asks wondering where Ulven is.

Carefully Rhade replaces his bow over his shoulder and unsheathes a pair of blades (longsword and dagger) before proceeding taking care to let his light source guide his approach.

Mind if you make a Perception check for Rhade as I can't use a die rolled where I'm doing this? He'll be looking mostly for Ulven but more aware than ever to look out for trouble ahead
