"Well, if the person walked in this alley, turned into a wolf, attacked the butcher, then left the alley, exiting as the person; how do you think we could track something like that? I'm sure the local guard would look at you with some suspicion if you went around asking if people have seen a man or woman turn into a wolf." He thinks aloud to himself mostly. After he ponders his question for a few seconds, he shrugs his shoulders. "I've got nothing."

Ulven abruptly stops, stares at the elven woman and walks over next to her, leaning very close to her ear so as not to be heard by anyone else.
Catalina:
He barely whispers, in a surprisingly melodious voice in Elven, "You do yourself no favor when you speak ill of those with whom you are not acquainted. It is a poor traveler who underestimates her fellow travelers. While I will not strike you for this insult, neither am I obliged to warn you of danger or to stop another's blade from taking your life, should such a situation ensue. You would do well to remember manners, little sister, and be polite."
With this, he pulls away and his face goes blank once more as his eyes darken into pools of night. He goes back to standing at the ready, always ready to move.

She follow's Ulven's steps back to where he stands, a curious smile about her face as she walks around him, words of the Elven tounge pronounced loud enough for anyone who cared to listen to hear " I speak no insult, merely an observation, Brother" She accentuates the last word, a palpable sarcasm in her tone at the mention of any relation to Ulven.
"For as long as you behave like a beast, I shall call you one." She says smiling all the while, having made nearly a full circle around the scarred elf, she leans in, placing a hand on his shoulder. " I have survived quite prosperously up to this point in my life, without you looking out for me, and i'm quite certain i'm more than capable of doing so for the forseeable future." She states calmly moving around the elf, she stops infront of him and looks deep into his dark eyes.
"You too might fare better if you were to remember your manners." She says, breaking her gaze, turning her back to the man, and slowly meandering to her previous position." He was attacked, wounded by something." She says, in common now. I really don't think the best way to get all the details is to rough up the victim." She states, confident in her words. "Mind your manners, Brother"

Ulvan stares at the woman for moment, then lets out a single harsh bark of a laugh and shakes his head. A moment later, his shoulders hunch once more and he continues to scan the area, keeping a watchful eye on everything.

Rhade having finished bandaging up the wounded man decides to use this knowledge to see if his injuries may have been hammed up to make it look like he was attacked by something other than a stray dog even as Catalina presses her holy symbol into Chod's flesh.
The blood on his clothing is most likely that of animals, however his wound is real and did cause him to bleed extensivly. The tearing and punctures on his arm indicate a bite attack. The creature would have had teeth like a wolf or dog and would have had a rather large mouth. The appearance of the wound seems to indicate that the butcher was indeed drag to the ground.

The freshest tracks seem to remain close to the grate covered stormdrain. The blood and the recent arrival of you and the other rescuer's obscure the way the persons who left the alley went. The animal tracks are few and can only be found near the site of the attack.

The depth of the water hides any chance of following tracks out of the sewer. However, you can tell by wet boot prints on the wall that someone climbed up to the surface with out touching the wall. The would have had to use a rope and used the wall as leverage for thier feet.

FOR ULVEN
A search of the water below the opening reveals nothing. Moving north you walk about 100 yards to a large round chamber with a thick piller in the direct center. The water remains about three feet deep here but the flow southward has lessoned. There were no passages leading of the main tunnel. Painted on the piller are various symbols that appear to be images of the moon, transformations of men into monsters, and arcane runes. The piller is approxamately 15' in diameter.
