Norn now with background
Raise since birth by her parents in the Druidic ways Norn has always been closed to nature enjoying its natural beauty and grander. For these reasons she was eventually drawn into the Greenfire circle. Currently an apprentice she finds herself carrying out odd tasks here and there in order to help build up better relations between the order and the other local groups.

Norn as an initiate of the Greenfire Circle makes a lot of sense. Does she normally operate out of Darkmoon Wood, or has she recently relocated to this part of the Vale for a specific reason?
I should also point out, in reference to the animal companion that a wolf is probably a bad choice for the region. Darkmoon Vale has a lot of trouble with wolves, worgs, werewolves, etc. If Norn is wandering around with a wolf at her heel, she is likely to be scorned and distrusted at best...maybe even run out of town...or worse.

Well being born to a pair of Druids I think it makes sense for her to have always operated Out of the Vale. As for the Animal companion I think I'll make it a feline one (probably one of the small ones)

From the most recent comments on the other thread, it looks like bref_weapon would prefer to play Worthel as a bard, while xdahnx is leaning toward playing Dustwind the rogue. So, that would make the party look like this:
Dustwind, Half-Orc Rogue (xdahnx)
Worthel Lightpockets, Half-Elf Bard (bref_weapon)
Thorgrim Stormbrow, Dwarf Fighter (Aaron Whitley)
Norn Jural, Gnome Druid (Kevin Mack)
Rew Blakfurr, Halfling ? (MythrilDragon)
We just need a decision on Rew's class choice. If he's a ranger, it gives the party some more toughness, if a wizard, more magic. It's up to you, MD. :)
One observation: no humans in the group. I haven't seen that in a while.
EDIT: Ninja'd by MithrilDragon!
Alrighty, so the party consists of:
Dustwind, Half-Orc Rogue (xdahnx)
Worthel Lightpockets, Half-Elf Bard (bref_weapon)
Thorgrim Stormbrow, Dwarf Fighter (Aaron Whitley)
Norn Jural, Gnome Druid (Kevin Mack)
Rew Blakfurr, Halfling Sorcerer (MythrilDragon)
Sounds good to me!
Worthel Lightpockets
bref_weapon, thanks for expanding Worthel's story a bit. I especially like the assorted histories of dubious believability.
Great :) I think Worthel is sort of an homage to all the horrible characters I've had the honor of encountering or playing as over the years... and he must be Chaotic Neutral!
Dustwind
I think Dustwind is done. I took 'Intimidating Prowess' as a feat because it made more sense for his character, it's certainly not much of a powerhouse, and I may never use it in game; hopefully Worthel's the talker of the group...
I'm still going to do a bit of writing for Dustwind's background, but that doesn't have to hold up the group. Ready, and willing.

Kevin Mack, I've started to look over Norn's sheet. Mostly, it looks good, and I haven't finished the whole thing yet, but I did want to call your attention to a couple of items.
1. Norn's hp should be 15, because the Toughness feat gives an extra 1 hp per hit die.
2. Gnomes get 2 'Obsessive' skill points to put into a Craft or Profession skill, so you can go ahead and assign those if you want to.
I'll let you know if I see anything else.
Dastardly Dave
Kevin Mack, thanks for taking care of those issues I raised. As of now, the only issues I see for Norn are some skill point matters. I think her Handle Animal total should be +6, and her Survival and Knowledge(Nature) should be +8 due to the druid's Nature Sense.
That should do it for her, but I haven't gone over the animal companion yet.
edit: I lied, one other thing...damage for a slingstone used by a Small character is 1d3, not 1d4.

Aaron,
Okay, I've looked over Thorgrim, and I need to ask about a couple of things.
1. Thrown javelin damage should include his strength bonus.
2. The skills are looking a little wonky to me. I think that you don't actually get to claim the +3 class bonus to any of the skills that you haven't actually assigned ranks to. So, as far as I can tell, several of your skill totals are too high.
Again, though, I'm learning the ropes of the PF RPG. Anybody else want to take a look at Thorgrim's skills and help me out? Am I on the right track?

I wasn't sure about it either so I figured I would include them and ask you what you thought. Unfortunately I forgot to ask.
Edit: Upon re-reading the rules I don't think he should get the bonuses so I have adjusted the values accordingly.

Aaron, Thorgrim's skills look much more like what I expected now. However, there are still a couple of discrepancies I have, due to Armor Check penalties. I believe Ride is subject to an ACP, and Swim incurs a double ACP. So, I have his Ride as -2 and his Swim as -6. I think technically, Knowledge (Engineering) is not a class skill (I think?), but it makes sense for the character and is in no way game-breaking, so I say leave that one alone.
Only other discrepancy is that his thrown javelin damage should be 1d6+2 due to STR bonus.
That's it!

bref_weapon,
I went over Worthel, and have a couple of comments...
1. He can take +1 hit point or skill point for leveling in his favored class (assuming Bard is his favored class)
2. Rapier damage should be 1d6
3. His Perception should be +3 (+5 sight/sound-based), and his Profession (Sailor) should be +3.
Other than that, he looks solid.
EDIT: Whoops, one other thing...you listed his 0-level spells per day as 3, but actually he can use those without limit.

I double checked and you are right, ACP applies to all Dex & Str skills. I was still thinking of the SRD where it only applies to specific skills. However, I'm likely missing something but why does Swim incur a double ACP? I don't see anything listed under the Swim skill in regards to this and the ACP section under Armor doesn't make mention of it.
Lastly I added the strength bonus to the javelin damage and Knowledge: Engineering was added as a class skill to fighters.
Take a look, let me know if I am missing something, and thanks for going through the effort to review our characters. I find myself still lapsing into certain 3.5 habits and this helps to identify the differences.

Kevin,
I took another look at Norn, and I think she's just about ready to go. The only thing I am questioning is your placement of the Gnome Obsessive bonus skill points. I think it's just meant for the two extra points to go into one skill, from the wording:
'Gnomes receive a +2 racial bonus on a Craft
or Profession skill of their choice.'
I don't think they can be divided between two skills. Sorry about that, I didn't make it too clear.

xdahnx,
I have now gone over Dustwind, here are my comments:
1. It looks like you only spent 18 of 20 points on ability stats. Here's my breakdown...
STR 16 (10 pts) +2 racial =18
DEX 16 (10 pts) =16
CON 10 (0 pts) =10
INT 12 (2 pts) -2 racial = 10
WIS 10 (0 pts) +2 racial =12
CHA 6 (-4 pts) =6 (btw, you could purchase a 7 for the same -4 points)
2. Stealth should be +7 (math error, looks like)
3. Intimidate should be +8 (Intimidating Prowess feat)
That's all I really see mechanically, although I would eventually like to see a description and background when you get time.

All, with the American Thaksgiving holiday upon us, I am going to hold off on beginning the IC thread until next week.
With at least two PCs AFK from the outset (and my own availability being limited for the rest of the week), it just seems to makes sense.
Look for the IC thread to appear on Sunday or Monday of next week. In the meantime, please try to get character sheet details ironed out if you can.
Thanks, and have a great week everyone!

MythrilDragon,
I had a look at Rew, and he's looking pretty good so far. I did notice a couple of skill errors. Knowledge Arcana should be +5, and Craft skills should be +1. Other than that, no problems so far...
Just let me know when you get him done, please.
Math errors fixed and all mechanic are now done. Just need to put in the rolepaly stuff. Background ect. Short version of his background for you.
-born in a secluded hafling community that has cut itself off from the rest of the world because of delusional religious ideals.
-Rew has the celestial bloodline, the first sorcerer born in the community in generations so they see him as the child they have been waiting for to fullfill the prophacy's of the elders.
-The community as a whole is a bit low in INT. becasue of generations of inbreeding and ignoracne caused by thier seclusion from the rest of the world. Rew's celestial taint alows him to see things for what they are.
-Aware that the people of his community are stuck in a society of self defeat he leaves and takes to the open road allowing his wanderlust to take him out to see the world for what it is not what his society calims it is.
-Several elders are displeased with Rew decsision to leave the community and plot to find him and have him brought back.
-For now he travels the road and currently has found himself one one that leads into Falcon's Hollow.

Cool. I spent the other two points to bring his CON to 12, and bumped his CHA to 7 like you suggested. Intimidate is at +6 because Intimidating Prowess adds STR in addition to CHA for Intimidate checks. Since he's got a -2 CHA modifiier, it's lower than it should be.
Though it doesn't really affect this game, I've had some computer problems the past week, and so am actually sitting down to write some of Dustwind's background right now.

Hmm, he hasn't posted in his SD game since he posted last here, either. I don't think he's shirking us, just having trouble getting connected or something. I certainly understand that difficulty! Oh well, Dustwind's here and ready, even if we have to run the game ourselves.
I've picked up DMing two games because of this same reason. I won't commit just yet, but if the game flounders and you're all eager to play, we could certainly find a DM among us.

Lets wait and see if he shows up I was just off the boards for a few months because of Internet issues and real life interuptions so I can understand that. If he's not posting in another thread and didn't give warning I'll bet he will soon return.

I left the question for a few days to see if anyone else would step up to the plate, but no one has, so....
Would people be interested in me having a go at this game as DM? I can leave Dustwind behind.
My style is a little different....I would describe it as a kind multi-dimensional approach.
I currently DM:
Strange Loops. My Strangest game for sure. Almost 8 months with no combat, but quite a number of things have happened. I think they are on day 5 or so 'in-game', three of which were travel...Did I mention they're all connected by telepathy?
A Tower of the Last Baron Game I started this game as a player, but then the DM just vanished. Familiar story.
An Evil Second Darkness Game A SD game I was playing in lost it's DM, so I made my own. With a twist. I love these characters.
