Dustwind never knew his parents, and they never knew him. Born in Olfden, he was conceived illegitimately to a scoundrel and a whore of human parentages. His birth and subsequent monstrous appearance bringing to light a dark secret in the ancestry of both parents. Shunned and rejected, he was orphaned from a young age, sent to work and toil in one of the many Lumber Consortium work camps.
There, he spent the majority of his formative years, enduring back-breaking labour, and getting into fights with the other brutish and orphaned children.
As his body matured more quickly than his intellect, it ensured that he was always the biggest and strongest of his peers. Quick thinking, sharp senses, and hulking strength gave him the edge he needed to survive. An edge he often found on the end of an axe.
