So the first monsters loosely tied to Osirion, Qadira, etc are now available in Kobold Quarterly #7. James Jacobs was a particular fan of the torthune (not surprising, given the alien/Mythos overtones of that beast).
Which of these monsters would you most want to see appear in a Legacy of Fire adventure?

Phillip Larwood is some kind of mad genius - his Monsters of Osirion article is fantastic!
I'm crazy excited to see official Pathfinder monsters in the hallowed pages of KQ. You crazy kobolds must be doing something right over there.
The Asakku and Torthune are amazing. Instant classics IMO. I'd love to see either one (preferably both) in the Legacy of Fire AP.

More Pathfinder goodness popping up all over the place. If you guys like the article, sound off. We'll try to bring you more madness in future issues.
Consider me sounded! This article alone has made me seriously consider canceling netflix and/or my land phone line to finance a KQ subscription. If I were to hear that more sanctioned PF goodness were in store, I might be geased to do more than that!

I really liked the sandwalker and torthune! So are you writing a LoF adventure?

Ok, I'm very tempted to subscribe this evening just to read that article. I feel somewhat ashamed that I haven't yet (I'm holding out the hope of writing an article at some point and trying to score a subscription for the effort). ;)
James, did the KQ article author have a chance to read over the Osirion draft when they came up with their monsters? It's awesomely cool to see someone put a spin of their own on something you worked on. But if not, I'm still curious as heck and want to see what all the buzz is about. :)

I am writing some material for Legacy of Fire, but not an adventure.
And yes, there will absolutely be more Pathfinder goodness in future issues of KQ. By some authors whose names you may recognize...

If you can't subscribe, this issue alone is amazing, so do it. You know you wanna!

The KQ author didn't get to see the Osirion draft; he wrote it well before that was done being written. I got to see both articles though, and did what I could to make sure they both play well with each other! :-)

Just a bump because today there's a set of monster stats for the Simurgh over at KQ.com, and it fits so very neatly into the Osirion/Keleshite flavor.
And hey, free.

I have yet to get this but for some flavor, I think the Sibeccai from Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved should be allowed as an option for player characters and Lithorians as well. Sibeccai are Jackal Folk and the Litorians are Lion Folk. I can just picture a Sibeccai ranger running around hunting gnolls.

Sibbecai and Littorians seem like really natural fits for Legacy of Fire.
And they're both a lot of fun to play, at least if my old Egyptian campaign was anything to go by. Sibbecai as servants of Anubis, mmmmm tasty.
Good call! I really like the flavor of the Littorians, and I will be including them in my next campaign.
I am also holding out that some of the monsters from Necromancer's Necropolis makes a guest showing in LoF. Probably a log shot, but I can always stick a couple in during game play.

Considering what they are, having sibeccai as agents of Anubis is rather appropriate. Although whether or not they can get sanctioned for play in Legacy of Fire remains to be seen. Personally I'd love to see them but I'm prejudiced in favor of canine races.

Egyptian-themed games are just plain AWESOME. The whole genre never gets boring. I've always been a big fan of movies like The Mummy and Stargate and would love to play a Pathfinder Osirion game.
Magic Skull Game's "Grimoire Viperian" product has a ton of serpent-themed stuff which fits very nicely into this kind of game:
New "deadly" versions of snakes with nastier and more realist poisons such as the Deadly King Cobra, Deadly Spitting Cobra, Deadly Black Mamba
Sentient serpents (a template applied to any snake) which are intelligent and self-aware, and have unique special abilities, often including levels of sorcerer or other classes. These make great villains and unexpected, surprising minion monsters.
Prestige classes such as the Serpent Temple Warrior, Serpent Magus, Serpentine Necromancer, to name a few.
The Pyro, a new base class: a roguish type who uses torches held in his off-hand with deadly and distracting effectiveness and whose dabblings in alchemy allow him to create special alchemical torches and brew mixture which he can spit and ignite. Makes for a good tomb robber character or NPC.
The Shapeshifter, a new base class: an individual with an innate ability to shapechange, including taking on the forms of legendary mythical beasts, and eventually giants and dragons.
Tons of new spells, many with a serpentine or horror theme.
Check it out sometime!
