I opened this thread for the players in the two Kerrigan's Keep PbPs and the I Swallowed a Bug PbP to report their impressions.
I realize that a PbP game moves a lot slower than a tabletop game. Also, while some of the encounters were set up to test the combat maneuvers, much of the game has been ... well, just a game. However, as some of these games have been going on since March, it seems like we might have something to say by now.
So, this is for all the players (dead, alive, or no longer participating) and any lurkers to say what they think of the rules in action in these three games.

I had the one issue with the wording on the favored class rule. I wasn't sure whether or not your favored class had to be the class you took at first level. That issue has been beaten to death on other threads since though, and it is clear now that (as a human) you can pick any class you want to be your favored class, not necessarily the class you take at first level.
I also have to say I like the sorcerer bloodlines; it adds alot of flavor to the class.

I've mentioned this before, and it's been mentioned on the boards a couple of times, but I think Paladins definitely need to either be able to combine uses of Lay on Hands or be able to heal more in one shot, since 4hp is not nearly enough to make a difference when you're in the middle of combat.
Also, a few more uses of Smite Evil would help, since I feel one/two uses per day at low levels is not nearly enough. Perhaps a feat called Extra Smiting or something along those lines that adds an extra use or two per day? Or make smiting a little more significant, like having it deal double your level in damage, or maybe +1d6 damage per two Paladin levels.
Sadly, I didn't get a chance to use Improved Bull Rush before Chuol died. So I didn't get a chance to test out the CMB rules as I'd hoped.
Aside from that, however, the rules seemed to work pretty well. And I'll say this about the new Lay on Hands: at least it's a great for healing outside of combat. I never felt like I needed to channel energy to provide more healing, Lay on Hands was enough, usually.

I think of it as more a "free" action myself and urge others to do the same ;)
no actually I figure the going from prone as 1 round, then moving out of the slime area (provided that's possible in 1 round) as a move action, with the standard action being to start scraping it off. Then figure 4 limbs and torso = 5 actions where if you don't have to move it you can take 2 per round (as it's not complicated) BUT removing a cloak, or a scabbard or pack probably takes 1 action (each) but each of those COULD free you from damage (as it wasn't contacting the PC)
1st round damage
2nd round damage + one of 5 areas cleaned while a cloak possibly covering 3 areas(torso and 2 limbs), or a pack 1 (torso)are being devoured
3rd round damage + two more areas cleaned cloak eaten and a pack and contents half eaten
4th round damage all cleaned (2 more areas) but pack gone
it does say it must be scraped in 1 round, but it doesn''t seem like if you fell into a patch you could get it all off, thus the above, armor would naturally take the place of a cloak under certain circumstances (not chain shirt though) providing coverage while scraping...if coverage + scraped areas exeeds 5 your out o' the woods
(or rather I'm out o" the woods..still with significant CON loss...even deadly in SOME cases)

This may be answered elsewhere, but I don't have time to lurk in the boards much other than the pbps I follow. Putting together a character, I'm remembering the rule for characters with five or more ranks of Tumble where if they fight defensively, they gain +3 dodge bonus while taking a -4 penalty to attack rolls (as opposed to the standard of +2 dodge bonus for the same penalty).
Looking in the beta document, I see under the Acrobatics skill definition (mid left column, pg 55, specifically) the following:
Special: If you are proficient in the Acrobatics skill, you gain a +3 dodge bonus to AC when fighting defensively instead of the usual +2, and a +6 dodge bonus to AC when taking the total defense action instead of the usual +4.
My question is - what does it mean to be proficient in the Acrobatics skill? A search of the beta for the word "proficient" did not locate a definition using that specific word. My take is that two ranks in a class skill or five ranks in a cross-class skill (ie, effectively the same rule as standard 3.5's 5-rank rule) would qualify, but the document should clarify.
