Workin' on it-- stuck at work right now. :(

I'll have something up tonight, I hope.

Oh, by the way-- not to get anyone's hopes up, but if you like the idea of having paper minis/tokens available through Paizo, by all means let them know! It really helps move the process along when the fans are clamoring for mini goodness. :)

Just sayin', is all. ;)

well i would love a figure of Ioemdae, she looks like my char... or my char looks like her before i saw her image, know i know Sean and War were thinking in my char when writing and painting Iomedae... or just some fortunate coincidente since i made my char in bas with the few intel i had originally from the gazzetter... and mostly i was just looking for a god(dess) of justice and war...

N'wah, i certainly would love it. Also I've been having some thoughts about something, a little project. I will send you an email about it for the end of the weekend i hope.

On that note, is there anyone among our community who is good at drawing internal building Maps?

What kind of detail are you looking for? I'm okay with maps, just can't draw worth crap.

Now I'm positive that next week will return to the usual work loand and the drawing should speed up nicely.... I was supposed to post a PC today but a Pumpkin got in the way and I had to put it to the knife...

So, in the weeken two PCs shall be ready!

It kind of needs to be a relatively detailed internal map of a building with squares for distance.

If you have any examples of what you can do, i'd love to see.

Give me the weekend to get my examples scanned and I'll put them on my DA page with a link. I sometimes use Dundjinni and Photoshop for my maps also.

Hugo, that's an awesome pumpkin. Smurfy!

Hey Nwah this is a little belated, but I love it, it's freaking awesome. But I don't know how to get the image by itself to print as a mini (I don't have any kind of photo editor and I don't see any kind of crop option in paint). So is there any way you can cut it out and scan it or something?

It's scanned right now, but it'll need some editing before I think it's ready for use. I'll see if I can finagle something with Photoshop or whatever, then I'll try my hand at resizing. Benchak's the computer whiz-- I just put ink to paper. :)

If you want a resized copy of the scan without editing, I can probably do that PDQ.

Alright-- Ben already did the editing. It's still black and white line art, but if that's no prob, I've resizeded it for you. File available here.

On the left-hand side of the image, there's a download button. Use that to get the picture (DA resizes files for easier viewing).

It's gonna look big; that's because of the resolution of the image. If you right-click the image in Windows, it has a print option. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll see if I can make a size-appropriate image for use with MS Paint (MS Paint doesn't play well with other software, and has been known to do really wierd things).

I've been to lazy to add a tab to the bottom of the images for easy print-cut-glue application, so leave a bit of paper at the bottom of the mini below his feet, score along the line with an X-acto knife or scissors, and apply to a base with glue (if you don't have a base or something, I'll see what I can do to make a printable paper one).

Lemme know if it works for you!

Rath the Dwarf Barbarian.

A few parts are a little iffy like the beer mug and the sword but overall it's pretty decent.

lastnightleft, if N'Wahs plan doesn't work out for you, or you think it'll be easier, I can get you the file in .pdf format. Let me know if you need anything.

Smart call, Ben, I keep forgetting Photoshop lets you save them as PDFs! That's probably the best option.

Liberty's Edge

I was weeding my gallery, and came across a concept sketch I did in May or June. It's not very good, but I had completely forgotten about it. If you want to take a look, it's right here.

Sweeet! Its really cool!!!. I was getting ready to do this like right now... Good thing that I came to check the boards first! Well then, I'll do the dead python and Cuchulainn can Photoshope the three together, and if you can't, I'll gladly do it for you if CJack grants me permission to crop and put together his cool drawings.

Great job CJack!

There you go Flash_cxxi!

Thanks Hugo. That's Awesome!

I can't wait to get time to colour it. I'm gonna try and catch up on some Heroes today while I work, so I think I might take a break and attempt a colour job.
Cheers

Well done indeed, Hugo! I think I've been bested. At least it was by a master of the craft. :)

I was wondering how "true" to the original you'd be, but I think you may have topped it, or at least equalled it (hard for me to say, hardcore WAR fan that I am). I love the pose, too. I might have to borrow that pose sometime-- been a while since I've done a forward-facing piece.

Congratulations!

First, thanks again, CJack for doing this. I cannot say that enough. Not only are you a talented artist, but it's pretty exceptional to expend the effort for someone you've never met in person.

Hugo, if you can combine the two pictures with Photoshop, that would be awesome. I'm not very tech-savvy in that department (i.e. I'd screw it up big-time). I think the dead python at their feet would be a great touch if it could be pulled off...

I'm anxious to see the result.

Here's the actual conversation I just had with Ben, my colorist:

Me: Hey, Ben, lastknightleft wants his picture colored.
Ben, playing Fallout 3: Ok. Sure, I can do that.
Me: Cool.

So yeah, expect a colored version up when he's got a spare moment/when I kick him off the XBox 360 so I can play. ;P

I'd probably expect to see it tonight, tomorrow, or Tuesday at the very latest.

Sir_Wulf wrote:

Hmmm. While my daughter would like to see some hippogriffs (so her druid can summon them!), I'd love to see what you would do with my pathfinder:

Decades ago, powerful visions of the goddess Sarenrae drove the aging elven monk Aconite into a distant wasteland, there to find self-purification.

Within the lonely deserts of Osirion, the sun's brutal rays scorched and withered his pale flesh; desert sand reduced his luxuriant hair to a matted tangle. His elf-spun robes gradually wore to tattered fragments, fading to match the color of the lonely sands.

This ancient elf has finally returned from exile. Aconite's sea-green eyes may gleam with the madness of a sun-crazed zealot, but his sun-faded bow still strikes true.

Not really hippogriffs but griffins are close, right? I drew this a while back and thought this was a good excuse to post it.

N'wah you realize of course that with giving people custom minis it will drive up demand for having minis that match when playing, I know I'm about to post in the next AP section a thread about Paizo having you make sets of 2D minis for the APs, and since they'll be cheaper than the pewter minis and come colored I'll be sure to buy the crap out of them when able, and hopefully have you draw a custom character or two ;). When I post my thread I'll link it here for people to go and add their voice.

EDIT: Everyone come here to voice your support for N'wah in the next scheduled AP

Thanks for the kind words everybody and remember to send your support to N'wah on LastKnightLeft Thread!!!

Cuchulainn, I just need CJack's permission and I'll add the snake and edit all three together!

Thankyouthankyouthankyou! I'm hoping to let the high-ups at Paizo see the demand is there for these. After all, if it has a solid fanbase and shows it will deliver a profit to them, it's a lot easier to justify giving me the licensing to do them! :)

So, um, you guys are really cool for doing this for folks.

I thought P Stories was all classic 'forgotten' fiction. Your book would have to be popular, then moulder on the shelves for 30 years then it would be eligible for Planet Stories.

Then again, maybe i'm wrong... they did publish some new Gygax stuff. But I think Gygax stuff is a little different.
