I just subscribed to the Pathfinder Adventure Path about a couple weeks ago. I can't describe how excited and anxious I was while waiting for it to arrive in the mail. It was a surprise when it came because I wasn't expecting it for the next couple days. I read through the Companion and the Second Darkness Chapter 1 book, and well, it's nothing short of amazing. It even has that new book smell..
Paizo smells like Awesome...

I am a Charter Subscriber. Just added Chronicles and Companion subscriptions to the whole. :-)
Although, I do have a copy of The Shackled City coming to me in the mail, so maybe that will tide me over until my subscription gets here.
Sure will. That's a huge tome you're gonna receive, my friend!

If it looks like Awesome...and it smells like Awesome...it's probably AWESOME!
My first shipment was earlier this month, with issues 12 and 13. I had ordered a couple other things with it and got a free Pathfinder Companion and a booster pack of item cards. Thanks Paizo!!! I'm in love...

It's also a bit intimidating, seeing as how I've never ran/owned/played a published adventure, and I got an adventure path. And I hope my group will eventually accept 'pathfinder' as d&d material.. as of now, they think of it as a whole new game.. bummer.
I say do not even tell them what they are playing. Just run it...
Later when they are loving the campaign - then let them know.
I print everything from the PDF and put it in a notebook and run it all from there. I have been open with what I am doing but if I wasn't I don't think they would even know where I was getting this stuff.

Yeah, they're tricky like that. They sent me a couple of booster packs with a few items I ordered. Then I ordered the Adventure Pack. Then they sent a couple more and I ordered 3 Adventure Packs, Rise of the Runelords Pack and an Elements of Power Pack.
Now, I'm looking around for a quick fix because Wondrous Treasure is not out until 2009. And they keep leaving Item Pack One on the website, even though there are no plans to reprint it.

This would work, had I not told them a month ago that after our current campaign, that it was going to happen. They don't seem upset about it, they really just have no thoughts on it at the moment anyway, due to the fact that we're not done with our current campaign yet.. They'll be willing to play, but they won't let me use anything from anything other than WotC sources in our current game..
No Paizo love.. that's okay though.. they'll learn when it gets around to my turn to DM..

It's no less true! Just a surprising comment, I'd bet. It's like opening a fresh booster pack of Magic cards. Quasi-intoxicating.

Pull a fast one on them - write down all the relevant information from the adventure into a campaign book of your own. This will do three things:
1) Help you organize the information and learn how to be a good DM.
2) Really get you into the adventure and all its plot points.
3) Trick your group into playing an adventure that wasn't written by WotC.
A little deceptive, so it is your call. For sure at least for 1-2 it is worth it.

Haven't thought of that, thanks for the tips!
