Deity Conversion Chart

Alpha Playtest Feedback General Discussion

Will there be a suggested Diety Conversion chart in the Beta PFRPG? Some are obvious but others like Wee-Jaas from Greyhawk or Eldath from Frogotten Realms are not so easy. Actually these two are a couple of the most difficult.

If not, could a PDF for diety conversion for Greyhawk to GLorian, Forgotten Realms to Glorian and Kalamar to Glorian be constructed?

Thanks and sorry if this has already been covered. I did not find anything in my search.

Not to be rude, but: Is this really needed?

Every player (and every DM for his NPCs) has to decide for himself and based on the ... character of the character, IMHO.

Also I don't think this would be possible in any case since the dieties of those realms are closed content and thus off limits to paizo(much like tasha and all the other named wizard spells have to be trimmed to something without world specific info).

The Greyhawk, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, etc etc etc gods are indeed not available to Paizo, so there won't be a god conversion guide because there can't be one.

Not to mention that each campaign setting is different so there really shouldn't be carbon copies of gods. If you want to use Wee Jes, just keep using her. If you want a necromancer god, well, Urgathoa seems the most appropriate for Golarion. For Eldath, Erastil seems to be a good choice.

You really shouldn't need one though, just compare the domains, the personalities will likely be different, but that can't be helped.

If you have a player familiar with another world setting, and wants an analogue, it certainly helps.

We won't see anything officially printed with conversion material, but this subject was discussed previously on the boards. Let me see if I can find it...

But you're still not going to find a carbon copy of a god and it's not like Paizo should be making charts for everyone popular setting even if they were allowed.

Familiar with the setting or not, nothing is stopping a person wanting an equivalent god from comparing domains.
