Webcomic here.
Ehhhhhh.
I enjoyed the earlier stuff better, but as he progressed he started taking himself seriously, and now we have such a hodgepodge story that I don't even know why I bother. What was cute and funny has become serial drama. He used to be able to tell a story with few words and some action art, but now each panel is so full of balloons it might as well be text in a book.

I'm an OotS fan, certainly. My favorite character might be the lich. I do like the story and character development that has been going on, though I'm sure I could not handle running a game like his current plot. Too many different groups to watch over; while one is playing the others wait.
Decent sense of humor, word play, and simple but effective art.

I kind of agree. I still like it but it will never be as good as the first 120 strips that made up the first story arc.
I liked the gamer humor and the plain backgrounds so much better than the more serious plotline.

Now I really can't wait for the Beta.

Agreed. I laughed hard from start to finish.
I would also agree that the comic took a dip in quality for a bit from about the middle of the war until recently. It's gotten better.
Damn it, I hate agreeing with a pink-horsie-loving lawyer all the time. ;)

It took a dip in quality at the end of the war, but it's been on a decent streak since the return to the Oracle.
And the prequel book is formulated from a secret blend of 7 different kinds of awesome.
Part of that might have something to do with Rich's personal life getting in the way of the strip.
Darn personal life!
I also prefer the Dungeon of Durokan strips to recent escapades, especially since the strip has been "bogged down" and was taking a while to get places (I mean, after the battle of Azure City, how long did it take to get Roy back...oh wait...)
I was worried the strip was heading into 8-bit Theatre territory, taking forever to do anything and dwelling on its own jokes, but it has escaped that trap for now.

Start of Darkness just made me like Redcloak even more!
